Extreme Parking

I would never park like that. Corner spot please! :racer:
Guaranteed if i did, as its at the end of the junction some SUV would park in the space your creeping into and block me in

Got myself a nice end space today and noticed another a3 on the right almost touching the barriers in an effort to as far across as possible

Merry Hill by the new Next?

I used to work there and the end spot where the A3 saloon is was the spot I always used to try and get, parking as far to the barrier as possible too haha.

Unfortunately if I was on a late shift the car park was already pretty full by the time I got there so had to leave my 3 series wherever I could find a space. Suffered its fair share of dinks and scratches due to idiots who can't use a door properly. Don't think i'll be letting my S3 near the place haha!

Dont take chances even at 10pm in the eveing lol

Someone's gotta be doing something really stupid to hit your car in Costco spaces! It's the one place I will happily just park anywhere

I saw a brand new Merc parked a while back in with everyone else, I thought that's nice! As I walked by a trolly had blown onto the side of his car!!! I thought I'll move it off, but then thought 'If he comes out and sees me moving it, he may think I was the one who let it go'!!! So I left it :(

Ugh :( to be fair, people dumping trolleys and wind is not a good combo.. so one good reason to park miles away!

Especially as those trolleys are like truck size.

Yea I’ve seen a bimmer park back there a few times. Probably the slightly safer option.

I was there last week and seen a beemer parked across them. Deffo safer than parking in them haha

This is my parking space at my local Asda, as shown here with my previous car.
It's almost a double width space and the only one like it in the entire car park. I have been parking here for years with no problems because nobody else wanted it due to it being absolute furthest away from the shop.....but in the past year or so the deputy manager has been parking his Jag in it so more often than not I don't get it. :(
But at least I can park close to him knowing we are of the same mind while still leaving a large gap to the next space. :)

So I park at the back away from the crowd over the line slightly to discourage people from parking next to me. Get back to find a S4 parked like this ...

TX.

Maybe presumed you never had a passenger so it’d be okay to park right next to you meaning there was enough space to his driver door so no one could ding if they parked beside him.

This morning's parking at my local station. Not ideal as the bays are very narrow. Just hoping no-one parks nearby as too lazy to walk that far to the station.

In Cardiff for work last week, had to leave her in a multi-storey overnight, straight to the top floor, no other cars in sight.. though driving all 12 levels up a very tight multi-storey I wasn’t looking forward to drive down but worth it...

Whenever I need to visit the town centre(which is rare) I always park in the same multi story up on the top level because it is usually the quietest.
It also costs £1.10 to park for 1 hour 7 days a week. I consider this to be quite expensive but it is not he point of my post. :relaxed:
Fairly recently the car park was closed for a brief period although I was unaware of the reason.
It turns out that the white lines have been repainted to make every parking space much wider than they were previously. They are now approximately 1.5 times the width of what they were before, which means that doors can be fully opened with no risk of hitting a car in the neighbouring space.
Like I said it always was my preferred place to park in the town centre, but even more so now. :)

Yeah its one of the 2 back to back multi stories that serve The Mercat.
That's the other one behind(or actually in front) but I always prefer this one.

This thread made me smile as I thought I'm the only nutter which parks in the bottom of the lot.
My wife works at tesco's so she's there 4 days a week :( . As I have a work's vehicle there's no point paying to have a 3'rd car, but this means the beloved A3 has to be in the dreaded supermarket parking all the time.
However, after hard work I've trained her to park at the end. Fingers x-ed as I saw too many careless idiots out there.
Cheers!

Had to go the B&Q the other day ..... what's silly is I nearly moved the car to the back just so the photo looked better ........ I now justify it as I get more exercise every time i park like this .
