Whenever I need to visit the town centre(which is rare) I always park in the same multi story up on the top level because it is usually the quietest.
It also costs £1.10 to park for 1 hour 7 days a week. I consider this to be quite expensive but it is not he point of my post.
Fairly recently the car park was closed for a brief period although I was unaware of the reason.
It turns out that the white lines have been repainted to make every parking space much wider than they were previously. They are now approximately 1.5 times the width of what they were before, which means that doors can be fully opened with no risk of hitting a car in the neighbouring space.
Like I said it always was my preferred place to park in the town centre, but even more so now.
