Just looking around at what can be had when looking at a downsize!

I know a few on here have a Cooper S or JCW as a second car, so I just built the following and priced it up
...The spec is the Cooper S Sport with tints, black pack and different alloys...inside is all standard.

So with a £1,000 deposit, what do you think it's worth per month on a pcp over 36 months and 8,000 mile per year?

I’m guesssing it’ll be £300 - £350 a month. Select car leasing have had good deals on these previously.

On a Pcp I’d would think the same kind of figures at a guess. But do look at leasing there are deals out there.

That is a good deal, if I were to get a mini it would have to be a JCW.

The current Mini may be a perfectly good car.....but I just cant help feeling that regardless of model it is not a particularly masculine car.
I wouldn't have one for this reason alone. :relaxed:

That’s cheap. Very low deposit too. Normally they have 6/9 month rental up front which make its low monthly but that’s only 1 and it’s 10k a year.

@S32B - Like other have said in the range of £350/month for that Cooper S
The British racing green colour in the flesh is very dark IMO
The new starlight blue colour is very nice. Really lifts the car
Wouldn't bother with the upgrade alloys either as you end up with the ditch finder run flats on the 18's as opposed to normal tyres on the standard fit 17's

All depends what you want. Its a bit of an urban myth that MINI's hold their value, they don't they depreciate like **** !

My wife's 5 door MINI Cooper S just went back after a 24 month lease
We got a 1+23 PCH for £170 month 6000 miles / year on it, so the deals are out there if you look & are patient

The 2l turbo petrol engine in our MINI was a cracker! If I was buying I wouldn't bother with a JCW TBH

As always, just my opinion of course ... :hi:

@jassyo06 - True
Had a new JCW before & having had a Cooper S a short time after its all about the badge me thinks
The Cooper S that we had was sure fast enough. I gave quite a few so called performance cars a fright in it mind ...

Don't call me Bhoy please! I'm not of that persuasion ;-).

I was just pointing out that to suggest that a type of car was gender specific was not called for in this day and age.

I am sorry if you took offence to my post, it was certainly not my intention......was simply a light hearted comment.
Presumably you drive a Mini.....or possibly a member of your close family does.
Like it or not certain cars do have a perception of which gender are more likely to be driving them.....although we have more than 2 genders now. :openmouth:

You make it sound like this is racism against cars. :D
People are so quick to take offence these days. A snowflake should only be something that falls out of the sky. :)

@KenL their are gender specific cars, the Car manufacturers and Advertising Companies draw this to your attention in their Ads from a Nissan Leaf to a Renault Captur etc etc and the Mini does come under this category ok. .. to a lesser extent than the others l have mentioned. A Porsche Boxter is a example as well

lol forgot about this until I just saw a Cooper S on the way home lol.

£1,000 down and £280 per month...which I thought was OK :)

@jassyo06 as for windy shopping I think we are all guilty of that! Got to keep the options open :) Got the S3 in 2015 and then the A5 in 2017, so next year is due a change :) It's just what to change for...I'm on 3,800 mile now after 14 months! Hence why I'm looking to downsize.

@Bristle Hound got the green idea from seeing this :)

@S32B - Never been a fan of british racing green TBH. Too dark. But we are all different
After a white car that colour will give you nightmares lol
Those wheels in the vid are 17's BTW
