Few days ago Audi discontinued the MMI Connect app for iPhone.
With this app I was able to use the Car Finder , Send Destinations to my car or flag favorite radio stations to share with the car.

Since I updated the app last week the only thing it says when opened is to use myAudi app instead. Except in myAudi I can only send destinations to the car. No Car Finder , No Favorite Stations.

I basically lost useful features. Fail.

Am I the only one ? Am I missing something obvious here?
I made an enquiry to myAudi customer center and they are admitting fault saying they are working on a fix but no ETA yet.
I was expecting more from Audi to be honest.

Oh. Thank you. Didn’t see that

This is really strange, as when I updated to the new MyAudi (red) app, I’ve got all the same functions that I had in the old app, the only difference is that I own a Q5 not an A3...but not sure if this would make a difference?

no worries mate. thought it might give you a bit more of an insight in to the situation. Pretty much the app is useless now as the A3 is a lower spec car than other models tech wise so it won't have the option to control certain elements such as check doors locked, oil level etc.... I have literally no use for the red My Audi app. its rubbish. The MMI one also was rubbish. Destinations can be sent via googlemaps directly but it uses the red app to share it so I have to have it installed for this.

Yes google streetview no longer works. It says it does on the MMI but the functionality has been removed!

I believe one of the most important features that we have lost is our service records

When I took delivery of my car there was no service book. I was told not to be concerned as all records were going online and I could access my records on line through MyAudi. I used to be able to but now, with the new app, I cannot and therefore have no proof whatsoever that my car has been regularly serviced. The dealer can access the records which might seem fine, but what happens if I decide to part exchange for another brand, or sell the car privately? I have no proof the car has been correctly serviced.

I've spoke to Audi UK service (questionable title) several times over the past months, who told me this feature will be available in the coming months, but I see no evidence nor do I have any confidence in these records re-appearing.

I love my car, but I really really tire or the contemot Audi have for their customers.

I'm fairly new to Audi ownership, but from what I've read MyAudi has been in a state of flux for some time. However it seems to be working to some extent now. Confusingly though, different features are present on MyAudi.com and the MyAudi app. Try logging in to Myaudi.com (not the app). You should be able to access your service record there in the Service section. If you get a message about needing to be enabled (as I did first time) you need to go to your registered Audi dealer and get them to authorise you as the owner of the car using the Go Audi system they have access to.

Interesting. I have google earth but not street view. I do have a Q2 though but I thought the tech was the same as the VC and MMI version is the same.

@Peter1201 the app has never shown service history for me. perhaps for others it has but in the 3yrs iv had Audis it never has. The website has always shown it but it is at the moment going through a period of changes that means most features are sporadic!

The car finder was occasionally useful on the MMI Connect app.
We definitely lost that, even on a A3 ..

What a disappointment

My dealership appears to be rather confused and doesn't know what to do. However thank you for posting this information, which I have passed on to them....

I hope it helps. For what it’s worth, when I first went to my dealer regarding the “need to be enabled “ message they tried hard to help. However, in all honesty didn’t really undestand the problem or how to fix it, and eventually gave up. I then went to Audi Customer Services, who passed the query on to a MyAudi specialist who in turn sent detailed instructions to my dealer about registering me as the vehicle owner using GoAudi. I know this because the message was copied to me.

I have sent a email to my dealership quoting your post, so fingers crossed they'll register my car. If not then I'll contact Audi CS about it.
Many thanks again...
