Just ordered a new 35tsi 6 peed Sport form JCT in Sheffield. Went through Carwow and got £4.5K off so very pleased. Hopefully collect in early April so I can get some miles on it before towing caravan to south of France mid May. I'm replacing a diesel Skoda Yeti which has been great and hoping Audi will live up to expectations. My arm was twisted by sister who is on second S3 and brother in law who did 380K miles on a 1.9tdi A3 before swapping to an A4 Allroad.

Would like advice on stainless rear bumper guard [used http://www.rearguards.co.uk/ in the past but they do not seem to make on] and a full size spare. I believe one will fit if I have the boot floor on the high setting but would rattle around so would be in need of foam boot kit to hold it in place.
If I have to go for a spacesaver I believe it's the 18" I need to get the same rolling diameter, and again would I need the foam boot kit?

Is an A3 suitable for towing a caravan? I only tend to see larger cars or 4x4’s towing.

Hi Colin, welcome to audi-sport.net. If you in need of any oem parts for the car, use the link below. Tom @creweaudiparts may be able to help you out. Enjoy the forum and we look forward to pics of the car.

TYb - the caravan is a 1200kg Eriba pop-top. Hopefully I have attached a photo to show this. My current Yeti has towed this without problem as far south as Montpellier and the Millau bridge in France. It has a 1500kg limit, 110bhp and 250N/m torque. The A3 1.5tsi Sportback has a 1500/1700kg limit, 150bhp and 250N/m. The torque is available across a wider rev range and https://towcar.info/GB/ shows it as being a better towcar than my Yeti. The boot is also about the same size, which was a surprise.

Sandra - thanks for the tip. I will have a look.

Looks nice Mike. I know the t@b models over your side of the pond are different to he urs. What is the all up weight out of interest? The 1200kg for my eriba is when fully lade. It is about 900kg empty as it has a few extras that add to a basic empty weight of 830kg.

I'm not sure of the T@B. I have a T@G which weights about 900 LB empty and with battery, propane, and travel supplies is about 1200 LBS.
