Just had a slip up putting a fridge into the boot and lightly 'nicked rear bumper (quite close to bootlid). Bodyshop reckons over £200 ... Has anyone any photos or experience of rear bumper protectors to stick over the 'nick'??

£200 is pretty cheap. Think I'd just touch that up myself though until I'd done something worse!

I know this won't help your problem, but try buying this for future protection. I am constantly putting in suitcases etc and my old A3 was scratched pretty badly on the rear bumper like yours. When I got the rear matt for my new Q2 I got this too. Fits perfectly and isn't model specific so im sure it will fit the A3. Its worth it. protects the bumper well and folds up nicely when not in use.

Just get some Bondo to fill up the nick, polish and touch up paint it. Shouldn’t even notice it at all unless examined up close, no way would I be paying to have the OEM paint painted over for that!

I have a genuine Audi protection folding mat for my B9..very useful! Lesson learned on the fridge move in S3.. a doubled up blanked offered minimal protection!!!
