To dip under 10s it must be 800hp or something surely?! The standard car at 400hp is 12 something isn't it?

TX.

I’d say closer to 600bhp and over 550 torque’s standard turbo prob can’t give much more power, just right conditions and sticky prepped track and tyres

This will be 600bhp but stripped out with slicks on, race fuel and an anorexic quadriplegic driving it.

I wish they would show what there tunes do on full weight and pump fuel.

Details were as follows:

2018 Audi RS3 2.5 TFSI

9.93@134.87 MPH (Track)
9.97@137.04 MPH (Dragy)

APR Stage 2 ECU (E85)
APR Turbo Inlet with Filter
APR Intercooler
APR Race DP with Turndowns
SRM TB Inlet
Stock Turbo
Stock Engine
Stock Fueling
Stock Transmission
Stock TCU
Stock Haldex
17” Slicks on Forged Wheels
STM Wilwood Racing Brakes
~3,200 LBS
~300 FT DA
APR Stickers and Decals (A lot of them)

I’m sorry but no way would it get a 10.9 and 10.7. The best MRC is getting on stage 2 is a 11.1 and APR are not claiming any higher bhp. (Unless on race fuel) But I am willing to be proved wrong? That’s only got that time because it has a shopping trolley full of mods. And runnings slicks on 17” is a big part of it too

I think this as extreme as it's going to get in terms of traction, mods and weight reduction although there is perhaps a little more in it with a dedicated TCU tune. Perhaps another tenth will come off.

These are guys that are running small Audi A3 brakes, 17" wheels with radials. No cat back exhaust, seats, carpets, panels removed. Lightweight battery, sitting with bags of ice on the intakes etc and running on very sticky prepared drag strips. Run that same car on the same strip with all its natural factory weight and normal 19" wheels and Pzeros and it will be half a second slower.

Stage 1 full weight RS3 in the UK on 99 is as Billy puts it around 11.1secs. Add in the E85/109 and you'll manage a 10.8 perhaps. The rest is coming from weight reduction and traction (wheels and tyres)

Full weight cars with e85 on standard tyres have hit 10.6 a few months ago at crail drag strip

Roberto is a friend of mine and I was there with him ;)

He ran 10.6 fully stripped with 18" lightweight wheels and PS4's.

APR's own Stage 1 record is the highly publicized 10.55, again that was stripped, lightweight wheels, sticky rubber etc.

Yep that’s the one he was waiting on drag tyres to go even faster.

Yep, spoke with him yesterday, he has a turbo and a set of Hoosiers going on next. Crail season is all but finished now so will be a good 4-5 months before it starts again.

Surprised the quickest quarter mile for MRC stage 2 is 11.1 seconds, that's the exact time I got in my RS3 on Dragy with just an APR stage 1 and some VWR R360 wheels and Pilot Sport 4S tyres, no other mods.

Santa Pod timeslip for my MRC stage 1+ (it has a Forge IC and an HG intake pipe but NO downpipe). Car was running OEM Pirelli tyres (2/3rds worn) and half a tank of 99 Tesco Momentum. I also had my Dragy onboard and the 0-60mph screenshot below is from the Dragy timing App on my phone.

Frustrated that it was not quite into the 10's but maybe with the downpipe and a bit better launch (tyres were spinning) the car will make a ten second run. Have to say that I am pretty happy with that considering it's a daily driver with full options including pano roof and rails.

Yes and my draggy record is 10.89 with the p-zeros and in 24 degree weather. I could shed more of that with my better tires and cooler weather but I was talking about official drag strip times

Good times indeed. But there is a big difference between Santa Pod and Crail.

Put it this way it’s like knockhill and Nurburgring haha

I have never been to Crail but seen it on a few vids. Looks like the cars are launching off the end of an aircraft carrier with the sea being so close.
I would imagine it gets a bit windy?

I had my Dragy in the car when I did the Santa Pod runs and it was only fractions in difference for the times compared to the official timing. I am running Michelin MP4S's now so maybe they will offer some better grip. Season is over at Santa Pod now I think so will have to wait till next year. Contemplating adding the downpipe and switchable mapping in next few months to see what it will do on higher octane fuel.
