Got almost 2k miles on the car now bought it when it only had 245 on...when getting any new car at the start it gets used more than it normally would till the novelty wears a bit..I’ve recently had a few niggles that’s reared there head in the past week

1.wind noise from drivers door area never noticed it before even at silly speeds but now I hear it around 80 and gets slightly worse if you go faster

2.drivers door wind squeaks when going up

3.brakes squeaking..this bothers me the least just now as it’s intermittent but it should be happening as it’s not a race compound pad (I believe)

Has anyone else had any of these niggles I know the brakes are pretty common as seen a few post on here regarding it

I’ve had mine for about 5 months now.

No wind noise at all, when doing motorway speeds

No noise from window going up either.

Brakes on mine were awful, put EBC red in not a peep for about 2 weeks now. I’ve read now mind Reds loss their bite after a few month so hopefully this won’t be the case. Be annoyed to have to swap them out so soon.

Hopefully the wind noise and squeak are related and both get fixed together

Sounds like a dodgy window seal.

As for squealing brakes...you have an Audi RS car...get used to them!

Did you say you have a PFL with only 2K miles on it? Pretty impressive low miles.

Regarding point 1, this is inherently an issue from the 8P as my S3 also does the same as my RS3. Succumbed to it being a design fault.

My brakes squeal has recently been resolved by Audi, not sure how long it’ll last but they changed the calliper weights.

He managed to find this PFL with only 245 miles on, so has put on the almost 2k himself in 2 months lol

Yeah it’s been a fun 2k to be honest costly on fuel but worth it lol....still not launched the car but have set it up a few times just for the noise haha

Only noise I get over a cobbled street in Edinburgh is the steering wheel rack rattles like crazy, highly irritating

I called up Audi and can’t get the car booked in for a few weeks as they are packed out at both the closest branches...going to arrange a date and get the fuel pump recall done at the same time

window noise from driver side is normal, it is a design problem, you will get used to it and forget about it. I noticed it when I got the car but now I forgot about it.

brakes, you need to change the pads otherwise they will become even noisier with time.

I couldn’t get used to that noise around the window mate and the squeak putting the window up really grinds on me....so the brake noise is purely the Audi pads then

Well... we've had 4 8V Audis and not had any issues with wind noise around the windows at all. Roof rails maybe but the windows are fine. In any event why the drivers side? I travel widely in Europe driving on the right and haven't had any passenger complaints either. Not making any accusations but I do sometimes wonder if competitors have plants posting negative comments about Audis!! Just a thought.

Why the drivers side well I sit that side when driving and can hear it and can’t hear anything from the passenger side because I’m at the other side of the car......you might be just saying you have had 4 8v Audi’s not making any accusations....just a thought lol

Lovely car but I hate every ounce of Stansted Audi. Even though I live a stones throw from them I tend to take mine to Hitchin
