Long delays for new orders due to WLTP emissions testing

Just had my first ever update from Audi with a slight hint of a date:
"I hope you are well
Audi will start to build all Audi A4s on week 50 which is the start of December for a January delivery
I hope you have a nice weekend"

Given the huge backlog January sounds optimistic?

I ordered a 1.4 Tfsi S tronic Black Edn back in April. Current lease car ran out end of last month so I am on an informal extension. Major Service will be due Early December. I have just informed Audi that I expect them to pay for this but don't hold much hope of them agreeing.

Ordered back in April to ensure I had a car for when current lease expired.
Still no update on the Audi tracker for my specific order yet (been on the welcome screen forever).

MWC, I have ordered exactly the same on 3rd May and been told more or less the same as you, only don't expect it in January.......maybe March at the earliest. However it will not be the 1.4 engine, it will be the 2.0 watered down to 150bhp. My lease ended last month and like you have an informal extension for 6 months.

Nope, maybe you could extend the above spreadsheet to have columns for colour, wheels, options etc if you want?

The 2ltr should have better torque and fuel consumption will probably be around the same. The A4 is for the Mrs but I will get a shot occasionally....I plan to install a tuning box and the 2ltr will give better gains

I have been told by my wee local garage that he knows an Audi mechanic who will return it up to 190 for about £300. Might consider this, however it is a lease so don't know if I should. If I can keep the car in good shape I will probably buy it at the end of the lease. By the way, if anybody wants a red 1.6 diesel A3 sportback, 66000 miles fully serviced, I have been offered 10600 to buy it from VW finance.

That would be interesting on an engine Audi mechanics and us have yet to know anything about. Anyone can make claims but I am sure there will be tuning boxes to follow that will give an even more of a increase...

I don't know very much about returning, but would that affect the gear ratios on an S tonic?

You are more patient than me, I got a Q5 2.0 TFSI in March, but got a built one with spec I was happy with. Fantastic engine, and even better with DTUK tuning box and TCU+, now running over 300bhp and 444nm

3. See no update
4. Mild cursing under your breath
5. Check A4 forum to see if anyone else has had any news
6. Repeat 4
7. Get on with day, with the realisation things won't change anytime soon.

Yeah that, plus checking the configurator app apparently once that has MY19 I can change my order. I want to change from matador red, sline to BE tango red. I was warned by Audi uk that BEs are getting built later so the estimate BW 50 would move till next year :/

That sucks, also factor in that the BE has gained the least "free kit" in this facelift, although it's the most expensive trim level.
e.g. sport gets the old S-Line body kit, S-Line gets 19" wheels as standard.

Yeah, that’s why I’m tempted to leave it and maybe just get the colour changed. Perhaps get the piano black interior speced as a compromise.

Everyday, on the hour every hour sometimes. Complete wind up. The longer it goes on the more I think I should have added this and that. I added the folding mirrors as option on the BE and now there standard so feel like I'm being done over....

By the blacked out rims do you mean the rotors or the multi/cross spoke design?

Sorry mate I was talking about the alloys. So I went for A4 Black Edition with the V spoke’ design alloys.

How do you get to that page? I tried to register my email address with Audi but the automated email to confirm my email address never came through. So I can't use my order number to track my car.
