Anybody else considering moving on from there RS3? if so what you thinking if not what do you love about it?

Mine was my favourite car ever totally loved it. Only sold as it was a tad leggy and close to end of warranty so I was worried about the value dropping off. I'll get another for sure, perhaps the new model in 2020 or whatever.

Couldn’t agree more, some great deals as well on the M4 at the moment. Sure I’d love it in the summer months but regret the decision in the winter months, especially here in Scotland.
If your interested in an M car I’d highly recommend the M3 over the M4 as I’ve had both in Competition form. The M3 just felt considerably more planted and the ride and drive were better too, also it looks better with the aggressive rear arches etc.
They are all but useless realistically in anything other than warm dry conditions as driving in MDM on anything other is suicidal lol. There awesome cars and so easy to tune.
I wouldn’t get too sucked in by the 0% deals they’ve got on the remaining brand new cars as the depreciation on M cars is absolutely savage, works well if you genuinely intend to keep the car the duration of the term etc.

I've considered upgrading to the TTRS once my lease is up but drove one this week at the track and it's not much better than mine. The seats are softer, but didn't hold me in as well. It has less roll, but I think that'll be fixed with better tires on mine, and it seems slightly louder, which can be fixed with a trip to the muffler shop. So, still love it 
I do keep thinking about jumping but seriously, what’s out there?! I’ve rinsed several Porkers, C63’s, M3’s and the like in the dry! The car is the perfect size for me and the interior isn’t exactly ‘poverty spec’. The coming months will be my first winter with the car. Although I don’t drive daily, it’ll be fun when I need to.

See for me I want an rs3! Currently in a gti pp hopefully the new one is out for March/September 2020 and I hope it looks better than the s3 render and has the 2.5 5cyl
I really fell in love with my M135i then i sold it because i thought the grass is always greener on the other side... and bought my rs3. I ended up not likning it as much as my M135i so next year im going back to bmw, hopefully a F80 M3 zcp.

M3 zcp is a stunning motor! I’d love one myself but don’t know if they are a bit too flash
I've only had my 7 months and still love it, all the car I need for now. Far more likely to add a second car, probably a Porsche of some description, than change the RS3 any time soon.
Well my RS3 was twice the price and slower than my M135i, or it felt like it was slower because the M135i have soo much torque at 1400 rpm, both were stage 1 tuned.
I had my M135i for two years and it had no issues at all, the first month with my Audi i had issues with brakes and rusty rear wheel hubs and the Audi dealer sucked.
Il be amazed if a stage 1 RS3 kicking out 475bhp plus would be slower than a 390/400bhp 135i, must be the sensation of acceleration given its RWD. I know they pull hard and punch above their weight, but I think I’d have no issues against a 140 mapped. Seen videos of the M2 DCT v the RS3 once rolling and the Audi pulls away slowly.
Hubs are a disgrace as are squeaky breaks
I loved my M135i, went to M4 Comp then got the M3 Comp too, then got the RS3. Pound for pound the M135i was the best car on the market, which I now believe the M140i has taken that accolade.
How is the low end power in the m3/m4 comp? i have read that the normal m3/m4 have a ton of low end torque but the comp models have more power in the middle to make the car grip better.
@FBF01 I have the PFL rs3 so with stage 1 i have 420hp. Like you said, the rs3 is probably faster but with all the low end torque the m135i it feels really fast.
F8X cars are brutal from 1700 rpm and the torque continues until redline, I can’t comment on the standard M3/4 as both are Competition cars but rest assured they are serious bits of kit from stock.

Don’t think it matters what car I have after around 12 month I’m ready for a change. Was looking at m2/m4 but holding off as just bought a house
Can't it be both? I still love my RS3, but also always on the look out for what's next... I'm thinking back to a V8, probably
Why a V8? Lazy grunt, and I love the noise. Which one, I don't know... a Jag (F-Type, or maybe XFR-S Sport brake), looking at TTE upgrades for C7 S6/S7, would love to get my RS6 back... lots of potential options. I'll likely hold onto the RS3 until next year at least though.

+1 one that, that timing would be perfect, but will keep an eye on what else is around, as the way things are going, next RS3 will have a 5 cylinder bank of batteries, and touch screen everything...oh yes, and drive itself...lol
8-years of 8P RS3 ownership now and still this machine fulfils 'most' of my needs.
Ok, I've and 185bhp A1 and ragtop TT, (and access to other stuff) too; but the RS3 following on from these two is always a treat!
No reason to change from my 8P RS3 to anything else just yet, though I have been looking at an 2018 petrol SQ5; tempting...

I’ve not got an RS3 (one of its cousins in the Q3) but I think it’s a great car. Love the noise, easy to drive quick, decent mpg and rare on the roads so at the moment I have no intention of changing.
What I do regret is selling my Z4M to free up garage space so I’d love another weekender. Maybe another Zed or S2K.

Don't know where you guys drive but most of my driving seems to be 'with' 57bhp cars who's drivers are sh*t scared to floor the loud pedal; one degree of exuberance in any of my current machines and I'm firmly up against the boot of something else. Ok, given a gap, I can pass; and then there's a traffic light, or similar, and the dumkof, recently passed is grinning, or at least that's what I think they're doing, in my rear view mirror.
Me? I now enjoy the RS3 for what it does best and find an extra 150bhp or so of little use, legally, on our UK cluttered roads...
Some years ago, before that cursed 70 mph speed limit, and with a 150 bhp Twin Cam Lotus Elan and/or Europa to play with on UK roads, well that was a tad more interesting...

I’m not what you would call a real petrol head but those lotus’s in your picture where they both yours?

One is a Lotus Europa Twin Cam (SAY 2) and the other a Marcos 3-litre Volvo; a 1972 photo. The Europa Twin Cam on Formula Ford Firestone 'legal' Torino tyres, 6.5 at the front and 7.3 at the rear, and on 5.5J rims were staggering. 4K road miles max, mind...
The Marcos was good, nose heavy, but would loose sight of the Europa quite quickly, just couldn't keep up on a twisting, duckin' and divin' road...
They were purchased like this back then:
That said, I moved onto an Elan Sprint 5 and kept that for 37-years and then purchased an Audi RS3 - the closest 'modern' machine I could find to an Elan back in 2011.
One is a Lotus Europa Twin Cam (SAY 2) and the other a Marcos 3-litre Volvo; a 1972 photo. The Europa Twin Cam on Formula Ford Firestone 'legal' Torino tyres, 6.5 at the front and 7.3 at the rear, and on 5.5J rims were staggering. 4K road miles max, mind...

Thinking of moving on to a 2015 BMW m3 for a bit more fun but coming up to winter it might be a bad idea. Anyone had both and how do they compare. Pro's and con's?

Yeah, they're great drivers and value is pretty easy to predict. Could own some sort of Cayman S or R and sell it for the same as I bought it. My dream would be a 964 Carrera but a very different ownership proposition and nowhere to put it right now.

Good choice a 2003 964, such a 'different' and pleasurable machine.
Modern Audis with 'auto' this-and-that modes are brilliant and flatter the driver sooooo much.
LESS for me is the fun way to go: and then back to a modern Audi for a reality check on 'just how good modern Audi car is to drive' on UK's hazardous roads.
I still 'sometimes/some days' miss my Lotus Sprint and +2 Elan(s)...
My 1974 Elan Plus 2S 130/5 is now in Nova Scotia and my Sprint in Hagley; both still going strong...
