Recently bought a rs3 and wanting to keep the paint looking as good as possible...I take the car away to work with me so don’t have access to a pressure washer snow foam etc

What do you’s think of washing it with a local jet wash at petrol station for the pressure washers and using 3 or 4 wash mitts so each one only has one or two panels to clean as I won’t have a bucket of water with grit guard ??

I'd just wait until you have access to all your gear, foam lance etc.

The garages jet wash might have a foamed but you don't know what soap it uses and if it is stripping any waxes, sealants you have on the car.

^^^^^^^ This 100 %. Unless you want your RS to look like a sack of crap Definitely wait and do it right

Wouldn't risk my paintwork mate . Best suggestion , get a professional detail and ceramic coating done and then wash when you can with the proper gear

That's a good idea as it will minimise the risk of swirls and basically... even the strictest washing regime will inflict some fine scratches, swirls are more likely caused with dirty wash mitts and also with applying/removing product removal when buffing off,, so take extra time washing the car plus not washing it so often until your circumstances change
