buzzing centre dash speaker B&O

I have noticed that on certain tracks and often with talk radio segments (i listed to a lot of talksport) that the large speaker underneath the windscreen buzzes.

The others are fine.

anyone else have this issue. Its liveable with music but when listening to talksport at any real volume its driving me nuts

Mine has also started doing this. I read somewhere there are a few doing it and have been fixed by audi. I need a service in a month so will se what they say.

Have had the same with the *** so it isn't just the B&O that does this. Only happened occasionally so haven't worried about it.

I've just lifted the front edge of the grille up a couple of mm using a trim tool, I don't notice it's lifted and it's cured the buzz 100%. You could put some extra foam or felt in there if this method bothers you - it's plastic on plastic causing the buzz.

i dont suppose you noticed if the front parking sensor buzzer is located in there?

I had mine replaced under warranty, I just put some songs that caused it to buzz on a SD card.
I did come across this video which shows you how to fix/repair

And mine!! Thought it was the door but it could well be the centre one. I’ll have a poke around this weekend. I’m not super glue is the best adhesive though, something with a bit more flexibility would work better.

I've also got a rattle coming from the horizontal aluminium trim that runs across the dash. If I push my thumb against it just below the air con screen and hold it the buzz stops. Annoying. I had similar problems with my last s5. My golf r went back with 17k miles and not a single squeak or creak!

i have noticed the same issue for my central B&O speakers (talk radio and many adele songs got distortion at low volume and vibration) and took it to Audi Centre Sydney in Australia, they acknowledged the issue and ordered the replacement parts and will service mid-week, will keep you guys updated on the outcome.

Mine buzzes - at least I think it’s that speaker - during phone calls.

Get yourselves a "tone generator" for your smartphones. You'll find what's rattling far easier.

Had mine sorted out under warranty yesterday Dealer said there is an issue with the plastic enclosure rather than the speaker. Now works perfectly and no buzzing

Is anyone getting rattling noise from the subwoofer grill? (saloon) I'm getting some on some bass notes. Tried pushing the speaker grill and some of the noise goes but not all.

My subwoofer has always rattled even on half volume almost like the speaker has gone.

My dealer seemed to suggest it was a common issue as he knew that talk radio ie talk sport etc caused the speaker to resonate.

ye thats what it sounds like. Not been to garage to sort it out?
