Hi all sorry to ask am looking at a 2015 two door 1.4 tfsi 123bhp audi A3 was looking at getting it remaped and the figures are showing an extra 57bhp and an extra 62ld/ft now would you notice the difference and is it worth doing?

Yes different is very noticeable

Most tuning company’s offer a 7 day refund if not to your taste!

Thanks just bought the car does the car need to go on a rolling road to be mapped or can it be done at home by a company

Hi, New to Audi and have also got the A3 1.4 125. Did you get anywhere with looking at remap? Would be interested in your thoughts should you get it done.

Cheers

I would think that a near 50% increase in power would make a huge difference. I hope it has traction control because after the remap you are probably going to need it :)

Yeah, I would like to hear from anyone with it done and any issues they may have had, Traction, Clutch etc etc?

Thanks

Having talked to a lot of companies who remap most of them are quoting figures of 25bhp increase and 50nm increase so is 150 bhp increase worth it and 250nm noticeable to be honest after picking the car up on Thursday it does drive well and feels quickish for a 1.4

The 50nm increase in torque will be noticeable, as will the BHP to a lesser degree.

Keep us updated, if you have it done.

Tempted to get a remap on my 1.6 TDI. Torque increase would be very nice

Having my car remaped tomorrow so will let you know what it is lake and if worth it

whats the difference between the 125bhp and 150bhp 1.4 engine or are they not both COD engines etc?

ah, my 2015 is the COD engine. I had wondered if there was a different turbo too etc. Celtic tuning suggest mine can be mapped to 185 :smirk:

Celtic Said mine could go to 185 bhp but most of the Tuners I have spoke to are saying 150/155 bhp

You will see that the top companies within the market place have all develop vehicle improvements to similar outputs. Beware of tuners who claim significantly more, it’s either lies hoping that the average customer wouldn’t be able to tell the difference, or the engine is being pushed too hard and will quickly become unreliable

I got my manual 1.8tfsi remapped almost a year ago with a Shark Performance remap at Unit18 in Milton Keynes. Quoted figures are stock: 180PS / 250Nm Tuned: 220PS / 370Nm but I guess there is a little variance in that. I've not had it on a rolling road, and have no plans to.

No issues with the car, definitely pulls better in 3rd gear and up. Happy I got it done as it's added a bit extra to the car and I've had no problems with it.

Yes had it done and to be honest the throttle response seems better and torque is better but at now 150bhp and 250 was not going to set the world alight for a 1.4 and probably would have left it but it was in my head that I wanted it done so am happy with it

Well after a few drives it feels quicker but have nothing to compare it with probably would have saved the money and not had it done but you live and learn
