The only bad thing people say about them is they are a bit noisy.... Apparently.....

They get my vote.
And if you have a Costco membership they do deals occasionally (think there's one on now) so you get so much money off if you buy 2 or 4 of Michelin tyres.

The p zeros look good and have some rim protection but no idea how much it would really help and not sure how good of a tyre they are. But they do look good for a bit of rubber lol

Cheers for the heads up, yeah I’m looking to shop about ATS quoted £440 for tyres and fitting which isn’t bad just think I could get it cheaper elsewhere.

As for Costco I don’t know anyone with a card but sounds brill!

Appreciate it mate.

Just swapped my old PS4 tyres for goodyear f1 assy 3 , I always thought I had a wheel bearing gone but now realise it was the old PS4 tyres

I second costco they currently have money off on X number of tyres based on rim size. 18 above I think it's £30 off on two tyres. Also they have the PS4s cheaper than anywhere else I've found.

Uniroyal Rainsport 3.
Have you had these before? If you have, how long did they last?

I had a set on Mrs Phutters' Fiat 500, and they were triffic in the wet. Way better than I was expecting.

There was a trade-off for all that grip, though - they wore out in next to no time, and nobody would mistake Mrs P for Mr Button in a million years.

And if there's one consistent criticism of Rainsport 3s in reviews, that's it.

.

My s3 came with the Pirelli’s p zeros. Really pleased so far. Nice sharp turn in, quite quiet and good in the wet. Massive rim protector too, much bigger than I’ve seen on any tyres before. Apparently don’t have the best rolling resistance though so fuel consumption is apparently worse.

I've had the rain sport 3 ( on my insignia ) and agree they didn't last too long ( well the fronts ) about 12k but for the price I payed I could have bought another set and still been quids up over p zero etc.

I have Goodyear Efficient grip performance on my A3, quiet and very great in the wet.

I have the Rainsport 3's on the Skoda VRS, Porsche Boxster and the A3 Quattro. I have winter wheels and tyres on the VRS and Audi for 4 or 5 months over the winter so the Uniroyals last 2 or 3 years at least.

It depends on whether you are happy to replace them a bit sooner than with other tyres.

I have been very impressed with the Uniroyals.

Quiet, cushioned ride and good levels of grip. Also, replacement every few years means the rubber is still in good flexible condition throughout the life of the tyre.

Barum Bravauris 3HM tyres were one of the best I’ve ever owned. Made by Continental but because they don’t have a premium name they aren’t that well known. I’ve had them all, Pirelli, Good Year, Michelin etc and yet the Barum are easily up there but without the ridiculous premium price tag.

Not bothered if you ignore my recommendations, I’ll 100% get them again when it’s time to replace.

That's what I have on mine and would highly recommend them
I’m concerned how long these are rumoured to last... some on here have said only 6k? Surely that’s wrong?

I have some crossclimate+ which I highly recommend but the PS4S apparently have better grip, so for me it comes down to longevity between the two. I’ve gone from 7-3mm in around 14k over 18months. Anyone tell me how the others last?

Thanks

I am looking at putting cross climate + on my car any other info would be greatly appreciated.

What size and speed rating? I didn't think they came in Y speed, which is what my A3 requires.

Ditto. A friend has them on her Pug and they are surprisingly grippy, but that's the high profile version.

I have had the tyres on my car since the beginning of May 2017 and I have probably done over 12k since then in them and two drag racing days. No sign of them needing changed any time soon
