Hi all
Sorry if this has been covered before....

Having lived with my car for 3 months now I still cant find a way to stop the radio defaulting to the long DAB list every time the car is restarted. I want it to default to the Favourites menu, as the car doesnt have any physical preset buttons, but having tried just about every possible menu I cannot work it out. instead I have to cycle back to Favs every time I jump in the car which seems crap.

Is it impossible or have I missed something please? all ideas gratefully received
cheers
Mango

This is a pet hate I’ve got too... and so far I’ve found nothing that stops it reverting back... I’ve asked a few people on the forum who are well in the know with coding etc and still nothin unfortunately

I’ve been meaning to ask the same question. This is really annoying, as are a lot of the other functions in the multi media system.

I find myself having to go through a whole set up process every time I jump into the car.

Mine always defaults to my favourites so it’s definitely possible unless your newer models have a glitch. Mine is a 66 plate FL S3 with TechPack.

If you push the jog wheel left or right o think you can fix it there when in favourites, not beat the car to check.

thanks for the replies guys. I'll have another look later but I am fairly sure I exhausted all menus, left clicks, right clicks etc and couldnt find the option. With all the radio selecting, and obvious drive mode cycling, its becoming a 10+click process everytime I start the car. At least its keeping my left hand fingers well exercised.

If you don’t mind having a check and see if it’s a setting etc that you’ve changed then please let us know... I’m the same, I’ve tried everything to no avail :triumph:

My S3 stayed on favourites, the RS3 doesn’t.

If you put the radio on favourites, change to media and then power off.. then power back up and move back to radio it remembers where it was.

Very annoying, wish there was a fix.

That’s annoying, lots of silly quirks with Audi’s these days.

Posted on this subject in the A3 pages. Thought I wasn’t ‘cracking up’ that this was possible in our S3 but not in our RS3.

Yep you aren’t going mad haha, it’s real annoying. Very much a first world problem, but it shouldn’t be doing it.

My MY16 car stays on Favourites. I have the non-internet connected head unit if that makes a difference (not sure what the ‘offical’ name for this is...)

Are you both driving PFL’s?
