Cosmos Blue car with chrome Boring as hell

What do you all think ?

Will continue the orange RAL 2009 over to the tash trim door trim and vents.... Will de-chrome the rest of the grill and window frames too....

Haven’t done anything yet ! Just Gimpshop ...

Everything I have is tagged in orange ... it’s the Dutch in me ....

I love orange, but with blue, not sure it's a great color combo. Be a first, but I def wouldn't do it. At least it's not like green or hot pink

You would defiantly stand out. If your going to do it do the window frames black. Don't think any other colour would work.

And to answer your original question. Yes, yes you are. Return the paint and buy a straight jacket.

Personally I think this clashes heavily and not a huge fan, but if you like it then that's all that matters really

Each to their own, and I am all for being original, but not my cup of tea. Makes the vehicle look like the ******* love child of a Citron Hatchback and an Adidas trainer in my mind.

I think a touch of colour can look OK. I think the Focus/Fiesta ST or something has something similar. My mate painted this red bit on his sciroco wich I think looks good also, but on the 8V, I just don't think it works really as its a large area so not very subtle.

Was a compliment. Those rovers were great if the head gasket stayed intact. There’s a reason lotus used those engines for a while.
I think the criticism comes from years of all shades of white, black and greys is the norm. A little bit of chrome or black trim to finish it off.
People are afraid of colours now :wink: especially bright ones.
Was a point when dealers gave more trade in value for cars in silver and black as they are easy sells.

Looking at your photo again, maybe it's down to the shade you choose when editing it's nothing like the spray cap.

Why don't you try doing the back first as it's a smaller area to see what it's like? I am still not sure on the window frames, think it would just look odd.

=) de-chromeing the rest of the car I think a few people have thought my bad photoshop edit is the actual thing =)

but if its just plastidip try it out and see what you think - can always just peel it off if you dont like it

Not for me I have so say. But if you like it, then that's all that matters really.

But I doubt you'll ever be able to sell it looking like that.
