just picked up a late 2016 A3 Sportback 1.4tfsi, and before the winter sets in I’m considering fitting Audi mud-flaps. Can anyone tell me if this involves drilling holes into the bodywork?
TIA

What are mud flaps even for anyway? Your car will get grotty whether you have them fitted or not. Chocolate teapot.
All depends on the roads you drive on. My wife and I do a lot of country road driving and an my old A6 C6 got hammered, the lower sections of the rear bumpers look like they had been shot blasted, and the same with the front of the sills. On my C7 I fitted mud flaps which so far had have taken the brunt of the damage, so fitted them to my wife A3 and they are not that noticeable even with it being a red car
Even less when on my A6 with its darker colour
Yeah fair comment. There’s building works everywhere around here. From muds, stones, rocks and all sorts of **** on the roads. Just coming out my street I hear stuff rattling off my car. Mudflaps have definitely made a difference. Just the amount of dirt on the car and wing mirrors have lessened quite a bit.
