Found out it is most likely when they took apart the instrument cluster to stuff insulation tape in the esp mil and steering wheel led holes, *******, they damaged the speedo actuator. I’m trying to fix it. Got rid of the chatter on startup and shutdown but after a test drive the needle is stuck. So will have to strip it down again tomorrow.
So it looks like who ever sold the car to the owner I bought it from did some monkey business with the fault lights.
