I've been speaking to a company called fibre worx.
They have said they could make a diffuser up. They would need numbers interested plus a deposit from anyone who is serious and someone with either a spare bumper for the to make the mould from or leaving a car with them

I'd love if they made side skirts for the S-line body shape to match the splitter, something like DTH A4 B6/B7 side skirts or something like those they make for other cars. The splitter alone, without the side skirts, looks out of place, IMHO.

Only problem is the fact its made of GRP not a fan myself as if it scrapes it splinters, this looks very similar but is ABS so will be a lot more durable and is also cheaper

S3 style skirts are available pretty cheaply from Poland would be really tempted but sadly these are also GRP

I would think they would make a mould from an orignal then fill mould with the ABS plastic , seems a bit similar to a way the guy on ebay does the Carbon mirrors and carbon doortrims
Depending on the resources they got. Probably clay and sculpting but bigger companies use 3d scanning to reverse engineer parts and 3d print or cnc them for prototypes and moulds.
That's when you have the original. But how do they make custom designs? Speaking of the guy who makes the mirrors and door trims, he makes small parts. But imagine if you needed to inject amount melted of plastic worth a side skirt. It would cool before it reached the remote corners.
I'm trying to make something but as I'm a terrible sculptor, I decided to make it off cardboard gluing one layer on another. I hope it works out.
I would thought to make a custom design they would still need the orginal even if it was only for sizes or they wouldn't fit correctly . The plastic would stay hot long enough to make the mould just look at bumpers big n wide
You would be right there ,mind the speed that liguid plastic could be pumped at would fill large item before it got cold .
Maybe they have an inside man at the factory there made
Well, I started developing my own side skirts. I want them to look similar to Maxton Design A4 B7 ones. I'll start with a mock up, then cover it with FRP. I never made anything off fiberglass, so there is a lot to learn, especially on materials. There are many possibilities on epoxy resin and types of fiberglass, so I have to choose the right one: strong and flexible. Due lack of time and a place to work, it's gonna be a slow burning project. Wish me luck.

I remeber when i did prototyping/reverse engineering of mk7 r airbox (in cad) some things were driving me nuts for days but in the end i was happy with the result. Shame it never went into production...

Sucks though, as I just read this entire thread from the start, many of you spent a lot of time on this... and the interest surely was/is there.
Anyhoo... Could anyone suggest some companies for a front diffuser? Nothing too pricey, but I’d rather deal with “established” businesses (Xenonz, Maxton, etc) over eBay, AliEx, etc...
