I noticed the massive discount on the RS5 too. It's just not that desirable to people, just look at the RS5 forum, pretty much dead. I think its a good car though and looks good too in the right spec. I walked near one the other day in viper green, stood out from everything else but you really didn't hear it. It could have been in comfort though.

Is it that bad? It doesn't sound great in the videos, but then cars always sound better in person.

It is truly awful Doc. Even worse the S sounds better than the RS as they use slightly different engines. I'm working on a solution(s) as I won't stand for a RS not sounding RS!

Do you guys know anything about start up versions? I've seen them in the configs the dealers are sending me. I've seen start up version A, B and C.

No, I have not seen anything about start up versions. Is this relating to existing dealer stock or a new factory order?

Existing stock. For example, I've been getting spec sheets where they appear as:

Start-up Version A (YCA).
Start-up Version B (YCB).
Start-up Version C (YCC).

For comparison, other options are written as:

Front Super Sport Seats (PS6)
RS Sports Exhaust System (OP6)
Reversing Camera (KA2)

Obviously only one Start-up Version appears per car but I'm confused what the difference is and why they appear on the options list. I thought it might be related to Advanced key but there are 3 versions.

Randomly I searched it on google and they show up on Lookers website too, only on RS3 and RS5.
