Hi All,

Recently purchased a 3 year old S4 in Sepang Blue from the stealers.

It looks like the previous owner used a sh1tty car wash as the wheel nut covers have gone from grey to white!

So i'm planning on washing and claying the car soon but would also like to try and get some of the minor webbing/swirl marks out too.
I don't have a DA so wanted to know people opinions of what products would be suitable to use with a hand pad (planning on purchasing LAKE COUNTRY HYDRO-TECH HAND PADS unless there are any other suggestions?)
Thanks in advance.

Unless you only need to correct a small area I think you will struggle by hand or spend half your life in the attempt !

Have you considered using something like a glaze with a wax over the top until you get a machine or get it polished. You may want to try Autoglym Super Resin Polish to see if that improves the look as a cheap quick fix

I've had a bit of experience with a da but didn't want to fork out a few hundred pounds for something that I won't use much.
With the Autoglym super resin polish, is that just a filler? Will it eventually wear off after a few washes?

Thanks for your advice.

Yes it is a combined paint cleanser with fillers and it will wash out. To prolong its effectiveness you will need to top it. This might be a wax you already have. Autoglym recommend their Extra Gloss Protection to prevent the fillers being washed away. EGP is not a bad product to have but has fallen out of favour mainly because of its 30 mins curing time.

SRP lasts about 3 weeks in my experience when used on its own

I had a quick trawl on the internet and 50 Cal filler glaze seems to be well reviewed, although I have no personal experience. There may be others on here who have used it & can comment
