Just a heads up if you regularly use the myAudi app on your iphone. Today's update now allows you to send map locations from external iOS apps such as Google Maps or Apple Maps direct to your car - previously it could only be done from within myAudi app or you needed to be using an Android phone in order to get in done via Google Maps app.

I have just updated mine, android, and it is failing to download the vehicle data. I have rebooted the phone and done just about everything a techie would do so I will leave it for now and just see if it sorts itself out....

Mine updated today (Android) and is still updating fine.

It's working now after enabling a CA certificate. But don't hold your breath about much of a improvement as all the update gave was some bug fixes, design improvement, license info shown for selected vehicles under equipment details, replacement of audi partner enabled and a standard system icon used for the export of cost- and logbook entries.
This is what the android version brings but still no service info I can see..

Just updated iOS still no service information. So they done away with paper version and now we have nothing when I queried this with customer services they stated it will take 8 weeks sure enough after this time it momentarily appeared on the app. Then there was an update. After the update it disappeared again, I went back to Audi they said it will be another 8 weeks!

What the hell is going on with Audi nowadays. People can't order cars / get build dates, the completely f*ck up their website, and now update to App is non event.

Does the MyAudi app support media streaming or do you still have to use the MMI Connect app for that?

Because Audi will soon withdraw the MMI Connect app and everyone will be forced to use MyAudi. So better to use MyAudi from the outset.....

Why are they withdrawing MMI Connect? It’s the better app. What confirmation do you have that this is happening?

Audi have been porting their systems across to myaudi for months now. Both on mobile and a new website...

Does myAudi support internet radio on the A4?
I currently have an A6 (while waiting for my A4 Avant) and there is no option for media streaming on MyAudi, but MMI Connect does.

Audi Support in Germany sent me the email below when I asked them which app I should use. Also myAudi app is more aesthetically similar to their web based myAudi so that suggests myAudi will be the one to use.

Thank you for your message to AUDI AG and for your trust in our brand.

The Audi Connect features are currently available on two different iPhone apps. They are largely similar and you will get
essentially the same usability out of both apps.

However, the MMI Connect app is going to be slowly phased out of use, while the myAudi app will take over its role in the near
future. You are free to use either app for the present, but be aware that you may have to change apps in the future, if you
choose to use the MMI Connect app.

We hope that you will find this information useful.

Yours sincerely,

i. V. Thoralf Scholze i. A. Michael Sarnoff-Wood

There's options for logging in to Amazon Music and Napster in the myAudi app but I haven't tried them as I don't subscribe to these.

Brilliant thanks for that. That's a real shame in my view. The MMIConnect App is much better IMHO.

Seems pretty limited - no Spotify support. Can you use it to stream music files via WiFi? The only options it shows for my A6 are for my destinations really, no other functionality is visible.

I can see why people are ****** off with this. I've been using MMI Connect since I got the car and it's worked fine. Downloaded myAudi and both it and the myAudi website are completely unusable. Errors popping up all the time and no vehicle functions or information listed. Previously the website worked fine but not now and the app has no car controls or information on it.

Seriously what the hell is going on with the myAudi website? They've butchered it. It's now working for me but the previous version of the site allowed you to upload POIs and customise the icons and then send over the air to the car - I've got the UK speed camera database in mine. That functionality along with setting up RSS feed as disappeared.

Looks like Audi have finally moved myAudi over to their new (previously 'beta') website.....but with limited functionality!! I imagine they are in the process of porting over content/features from their old website version to the new version so I would give it a week or so to update. If still no luck, email Audi Germany direct, they are far, far more helpful than their UK counterparts:

Didn’t realize you can get the speed cameras into this ... interested to know how this was done ? ( hopefully can be available after the update ?)

Yep - same for me as shown in the above two post either on PC or ios app. In fact it's been many weeks now since I've been able to view my vehicle service record on any electronic medium. I understand these migrations take a bit of time but Audi and their tech partner are pushing the boundaries with this.
Seriously unimpressed with the tech.
But hey, the car is just fine.

1. Visit Pocketgpsworld and subscribe to get access to the database.
2. Follow the instructions on the site to download the database as POIs and then put them on an SD card.
3. Put the SD card in your MMI and then import the POIs.

You used to be able to do it over the air from the myAudi website but you can still do it using the method above. There’s lots of info on the internet on the individual steps I’ve listed above. Do a bit of googling and you’ll find the specifics you need.

Thank you I will give it a go

MMI Connect working fine - myAudi down. Think I’ll just keep sticking with MMI Connect until they bin it.

Can everyone do a form of complaining on either Twitter, email or Facebook to raise awareness. A brand such as Audi shouldn’t have this type of loss of function.

This is true, along with most of the assembly line it seems
