Does anybody know if it’s possible to cancel a key that’s been stolen?

To cut a long story short, my house was broken into and my spare key was taken. I’ve looked in the menu on the car and it says there are 3 keys. I have the 1 I use and also the plastic master key thing so just want to cancel the 1 that’s gone.

I've had this done, but only through Audi. Think you need an SKC - not many independents have access to the software.
They wipe all keys and reprogram the remaining keys. Doesn't take long. They will probably charge an hours labour though.

If your in North East area may be worth giving Richard Marten Automotive Solutions Peterlee a ring, theyre a VAG specialist

yep, when I got my A4 a couple of weeks ago it only had one key and a spare was on order, when I took it into them it took 45 minutes to wipe all keys, re-programme the existing key and the new key. I can't help with the labour cost as it was free as I only just had the car.

Are you local to them mate?

Sorry mate, been a busy day!

I’m north west so not too far but not really local!

I’ve spoken to awesome gti today and I’m taking my car in Saturday to get it sorted.

I’ll have to see if my house insurance covers car keys now to get a replacement.

Cheers for your help!

Look up vw retrofit on Facebook he'll be able to sort you out with that !

He was able to code a set of clocks for me by post!

I only ask as Peterlee is my home town. Good luck on Saturday!

Nearly snap! My home town is Chester-le-Street, but I haven't lived there since 1965 when we moved to Easington Colliery. Moved from there in 1966, leaving the North East for good.

Probably not a bad decision. I was born just outside Easington Village. I worked in a pub in the Colliery in the early 1990s but not for long....

Apologies, @RyanJonS4, for hijacking your thread. Did you sort things out on Saturday? :)

No probs mate!

Yeah got it sorted, The fuse for the fuel pump is back in but now I only have 1 key for my car

I’m now trying to get my house insurance to come and put a piece of glass in my back window. It’s been boarded up now for 9 days. The lad who boarded it took measures and said they’d be in touch to fix it. I’ve just had a call off the glass company wanting to recover my £400 excess and it’ll be another 5-7 days to manufacture the glass!! I don’t understand why things have to be so complicated. I can go and get a piece of glass made up today and have it fixed so why can’t they?
