Hi all.
Been a wally and had an issue with my B9 S4 Avant exhaust valve control unit.
Yup, removed plugs 18 months ago. Passenger side a doddle. Drivers side was a nightmare to remove for some reason. They were carefully plugged and taped up as well as safely cable tied in place.
Trading car in soon and decided to plug back up. Again, passenger side...doddle. Drivers side...not playing. The male connector has snapped off. So, at present, the exterior housing is fitted and all looks fine. But without the actual connection.
The obvious background Fault codes are present. Passenger side has cleared and valve flap must be closed. Harder to see on that side.
'19305 Manufacturer-specific code'
Is what I get and it won't reset.
The car was going in anyway for an Adaptive Light sensor fault and rear washer fail (never had issues with my B8.5. So far from new, the car has had two recall notices and a full MMI replacement. Want to trade in asap and move to used car.
Anyway! Yes, I'm an idiot. Lesson learned. Although everyone else that's done this, hasn't had an issue. That drivers side connector was genuinely near impossible to work with.
So, my options? Local independent has said sourcing the right replacement male connector would be very difficult. Is he right? I'm obviously concerned Audi will terminate my warranty and gleefully attempt to say my screenwasher and adaptive light faults are because of this. Can anything be done? Cheers guys.
