Howmuch louder has it gone? Ill be going catless soon...maybe I should keep my resonator just in case LOL!
Yes with the valves closed it’s not as bad but it’s still there and still sounds horrible.
You got me worried about ours now LOL! Luckily I have kept the stock resonator so lets see how we get on! Is the Stage 2 map on it now?
Yeah it goes well, I’ve come from a B7 RS4 and it’s quicker than that. I’m getting the res put on this afternoon.. fingers crossed it’ll sound better then...

No RR at the tuners, I’ll get it on one soon though. Should be up near 400bhp I’d think.
Update! ive reinstated the stock resonator and the car now sounds much better. It now sounds similar to the res-delete, maybe a fraction quieter but with zero drone and a decent tone throughout the rev range im happy for now..

Did you uprate the intercooler too?
I fitted a Forge FMIC, nice bit of kit by the look of it. Are you going sports cat or de-cat? Sports car and res delete would probably be ok.
Ill be going full decat on ours and will go down the route of a Wagner intercooler as thats what I can get hold of

The gains are not like stock to stage 1 but they are still very noticeable. The mid range is much stronger and the car just pulls and pulls all the way through the whole rev range. It’s all very effortless and drama free so the perception of speed might not be there but the reality sure is....
