Just bought a 2001 S3 with BAM engine, 81k on the clock, full history and only 1 onwer from new. That owner imported the car from Germany from new, It's got German PDI stamp in the service book, plus log book has some mising info like engine number. Its got full Audi history at the same dealer and I've got all the paper work and bills. Its been sat in a garage for 5 years, as it was in a bitter divorce argument, any how, I got it cheap as cluster had failed and they wanted it gone quick.

So I've just removed the N249, fitted new Forge 008. Now I went to go and remove the SAI. Its not there?!?!
I looked at the block to see where the braket for the pump would be and no sign, nor any sign that it had been there ever. Looked at the side of the head and no water unit, just a small round black bung in the head, no blanking plate and no sign the anything has ever been there either?!?! There are no sign of water leaks, mark etc.

Now my question is did some S3's leave the factory without the SAI system? If so, why? Am I being bum and it doesn't have it? I've been through all the paperwork and Audi never removed it and its never been to another garage.
