Window trim damaged - replaceable ?

The trim between the window and door has been damaged whilst the doors were resprayed. It's a black edition, so stands out quite a bit.
I really can't be bothered with the company who did this - I'd rather do it myself and know the job has been done correctly.

Does anyone know if the trim can be replaced, presume I have to dismantle the door...or is it part of the door itself ?

I believe you can pry it off with the trim removal tool. DM me your email address I’ll send the Audi workshop manual for you to look at it.

Hiya, I'm having a similar issue where I need to replace the trim. I've tried to remove the trim but it's very stubborn and I'm sure there's an easier way. Do you have any tips to remove the trim?

I did give this a go but having looked at parts etc you need to split the door (top frame and glass removal). I think the rear and top trim may pop off - but the lower window trim is a PITA!
Sold the car in the end, so didn’t pursue.

Frame does separate on this model. its part of the door. If you want to do it with out bending the trim then you will need to remove door card, door mirror and the glass. Remove the inner rubber seal as well and then use wd40 and spray liberally into the gap between the door and trim from the outside. Expect to make a mess of your paint but it will help the trim come so much easily. Lever it upwards all the way along the trim from the inside edge.

Thank you for the tips. I had to remove the door card and mirror but since the trim was already damaged I didn't mind bending it as I had a replacement. Let's just say the original trim is not in the same condition to say the least. The funny thing is, the new trim installed so easy it makes you wonder what was holding the old trim in place so securely. Thanks again for the tips.

I literally just bought an A3 8P1 this morning and there are quite a few little trim pieces I would like to replace to get it up to scratch. A copy of the workshop manual would be a massive help, is there any chance I could get a copy? Thank you.
