Hey,

Thought I would put a progress thread up for my 2.0T S line Avant. I promised to myself I really wouldn’t change or modify anything on this car... but we all know how that goes :whistle2: coming from a mainly dubber/Audi background most of my cars have ended up pretty impractical  So hopefully this one won’t end up on coilovers and big wheels :tearsofjoy: the day we picked it up, parked new to my fiancée TT

So far I have bought some new plates without the GB logo, S line plate surrounds, team heko wind deflectors and a Maxton Design rear spoiler extension lip. Riveting!

Next on the list is de-badge the boot of the A4 and 2.0T badges, Ingo Noak front splitter, black front grille, Maxton Design side splitters, and hopefully a Driving-Passion rear diffuser. I have some genuine 19” RS4 alloys on my B6 which I will be selling or breaking. I’m toying with the idea of getting them powder coated black

Let me know what you think :thumbs up:

Gotta’ love a widebody :icon thumright: The driving-passion rear diffuser is no longer a hopeful...it’s a definite  can’t wait to get it fitted :racer:

Thinking either leaving it as is or maybe satin black :icon thumright:

Couldn’t resist test fitting the rear diffuser before painting it!

Not the best pic as it was a funny light outside  couldn’t be happier with it! Need to add RS4 exhaust tips to the list now :whistle2: the Rear spoiler lip arrived but it seems I ordered the saloon one :wtf: waiting for the avant one to arrive and the side skirt diffusers! Thanks to Driving-Passion for the rear diffuser it’s made the rear end look much more ‘aggressive’ :icon thumright:

They all have good tread on the tyres so will probably run them as they are until winter is over and get them painted black ready for next year.... maybe

I’m may buckle and get them done before hand

Rotors arrived yesterday, so got them on as soon as I finished work. In two minds now whether I should still go ahead and get them painted gloss black...

Winterr... need more pics of the black rear badges and new wheels. Been toying up with black badges for a while just can't decide!
Also how do the wheels fit? especially on the front I have read the front 9' S5 wheels poke out too much.
cheers

I should imagine who ever said they don’t fit hasn’t actually tried a set on :whistle2:

Cheers that's a great help! Looks great really gives me an idea as mine is black as well.
Is the front level with the edge of the arch? looks like serious poke.
Also you should totally get the window trim blacked out (also on my list)

forgot to ask were/are you on the TT forum? noticed the mk1 in the background.

Yeah I’d say it’s flush with the arch, doesn’t protrude the arch though. It’s hard to capture in a picutre. Yeah used to use the TT forum mate, have a build thread on there somewhere, but it’s now my girlfriends car I don’t really use the forum anymore. Yep need to get the exterior trim wrapped too, should look much better like that.

Thought I recognised the car, I had a very low TT years ago which my parents now have and then a QS which I always regret selling!

Yeah I have too much chrome want to get rid of it all bar the mirror covers.

Got a quote to wrap the chrome trim... £180 :puke: seems to be what most places charge so I might have a go myself :whistle2: anyway here another pic in the great British summer

Been thinking about tackling it myself, cant decide whether to try plastidip or vinyl wrap them. Both don't seem too difficult.

Haven’t updated this in a while, not really done much to the car. The clutch started slipping g just before Xmas so that’s been done and I have bought this steering wheel, just on the look out for an air bag now :thumbs up:
