The 1st job im going to look at doing is giving car a lower stance but don't wont a really harsh ride or would have gone for a RS focus lol

looked at the KW Hight adjustable spring system for around £460

or coilovers like Bilstein B16 at around £1.500 or the KW Variant 3 at £ 250 more

are coilovers worth the extra money if im not doing track days

I've been running the KW adjustable springs for the last couple of weeks and am very happy with them.

Stance is spot on and whilst the ride is firmer it's far from uncomfortable. I did a 400 mile round trip to Goodwood last week and had no complaints from passengers.

You can go up to -25mm at the front and -20mm rear. I'm not at the lowest setting but will probably drop the rear a touch more now everything has settled.

I'm running 8.5 all round so no spacers.

I’m considering coilovers as Im finding the damping on the stock setup with magride to be off. It bounces around on low speed bumps and feels crashy on bigger bumps.
I’m not sure if it’s a function of the mag ride but coming off a speed hump in a car park the front bounces up and down a few times after the hump but back feels really stiff.
At speed the suspension feels and sounds a little crashy. On the plus side the car handles road imperfections well.

I’d love to get the KW DDC coilovers but they cost an arm and a leg.

I’m just getting the Eibach pro kit fitted as we speak, well they’ve just finished and it went straight on there geo for setup and it was out on one side so please make sure you get that checked ASAP after obviously.

The car looks great now and it’s only a 12/13mm drop, and I’ve got 12mm spacers on all around. Pics will be up soon.

Is this with the KW adjustable springs?
If so do you have a part number for the 8V car.

Cheers

Yes mate that's the KW adjustable springs.

I didn't order them myself so don't have a part number I'm afraid. Prestige Wheel Centre is Birmingham took care of everything for me - can't recommend them enough.

Car looks spot on, excellent choice sir!

Mine are still sitting in the garage but hoping to get them on next week...things are pretty hectic just now!

Car has been flashed back to OEM by Revo for my Dealership visit tomorrow, I can’t wait to get stage1 put back on the car and go for a blast to see the difference with these springs fitted.

I'm guessing it feels slow now. It's usually more obvious going back to stock how much of a difference a map makes.

You can definitely feel the lack of the torque wave lol
Feels like a different car and it’s not as loud I’ve noticed
I would assume the noise factor will be that the valves aren't permanently open in dynamic that the Revo map does.

If anyone is interested in the KW adjustable springs just let us know :icon thumright:

Damian @ DPM Performance

Can you kindly PM a quote. Car has mag ride And is 2015 car.

Looks awesome! :thumbs up:

I've just bought a set of 4 used Neuspeed ET45 8.5 x 19 alloys and about to lower the RS3, but have no idea what tyres to get fitted.

What is the ET of your alloys, and make and sizes are your tyres?

Thanks

My wheels are ET47 and I'm running my original tyre setup - P Zero 255/30 front and 235/35 rear.
