I pointed out to the leasing company that on my original order, I paid extra for tech pack, bigger alloys and privacy glass so expected these to be honoured. No response yet..
Just had the following message from my leasing company:
"I have today checked on the progress for your order and it is currently showing without a build week.
Current estimations give a lead time of approx. late September / October
There are a couple of reasons for this, the main one being the introduction of The Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure, also known as WLTP.
Added to this we have the model year 19 changes which are effective from build week 31 (week commencing 30th July). All MY19 vehicles will be WLTP compliant.
The prices quoted will remain the same, with Audi agency price protection is in place until delivery of the vehicle."
Back to square one then..
Ask for written proof from audi hq...According to that spreadsheet someone shared above, my 2.0TFSI Black Edition is down for a BW41 (Early October?)
Yet I was informed by my dealer on Friday that I'm still on track for a 28th September delivery!
I feel like someone's telling fibs...
Where are you seeing these deals?
Tried to DM you but im guessing you have to be a member to use the inbox?
Through my current lease company. The A4 is going to cost me about £340/month the 320 £346
I’ve looked at other cars. I wanted to love the Octavia and superb but were just too plain.

Nick, start of production for 190 TDI S tronic is week 40, which is first week in October. So your dealer is probably correct, if your order is near the front of the queue....My order was placed at the end of April (A4 2.o TDI 190 S-Line Ultra, S-Tronic). And here is the latest update from the dealer.....
"I have checked your order on the Audi order system and your order is on there but currently without a build week. This is due to the model year change as Audi are changing over to model year 19. This means you should be allocated the latest 19 year model but as your order is already been accepted the price will be protected for you.
We have not received any information currently on the new models or been advised of any engine changes. Should anything significant change on your order due to the different model year then once allocated a build slot Audi will notify us of the changes and we in turn will notify you but at this stage we are not aware of any significant changes.
With regards to the delivery date I would say a September delivery is unlikely at this time although it was at the time we placed the order. I would think delivery would be around October / November time.
Apologies for any inconvenience caused by the delays caused by the model year change and Audi stopping production early of the year 18 models but I hope your new vehicle will be worth the wait when it arrives."
No mention of the WLTP fiasco.........
Its just annoying waiting and not really getting any further information. I have seen the really useful information posted on here and its has been good to hear something!
Out of interest does anyone know what the new S-Line wheels will look like? (i'm quite particular about wheels, but don't really want to pay extra)
The way my car scheme works, is that I can specify any options I want on the car, but I have to pay for those options myself upfront, which I will never get any of the money back for so a strong base specification is what made me choose the A4 in the first place.

I’ve pressed Audi UK for an update on my order. At first they gave me the generic answer above not offering any explanation.
I let them know there were a large number of customers starting to look else where due to the lack of information being provided.
They’ve then stated that I’m in a backlog of orders and build weeks is mid December.
Massively annoying as that will mean an additional service to fork out for on my current car.
My order (April 23rd for an A4 2.o TDI 190 S-Line Ultra, S-Tronic).
As of yesterday, the estimated delivery date has shifted from mid October to the 14th December..... No other information available and this remains only an estimate. No further explanation from Audi.
Customer service has been shocking. No apologies or even an attempt at empathy.
I asked about compo or added extras (don’t ask don’t get) got told I’m getting a bigger engine!
told them the engine was the same and was told that if I was unhappy take it up with the dealer (who can’t do anything)
This why I am suprised that audi have stuck with more or less the same exterior and interior design with the a4 facelift. The 2019 A3 will probably be similar to the new Q3 so that leaves the A4 more or less the elder statesman of design and will look dated compared to it's main rivals..
