So my wheels need refurb , should i go powder coating or normal painting?

Any companies in London (prefer around Ilford) that anyone can recomend?

Is that factory finish?!? Or have you had them painted previously?

They came like that with the car as it was a used car , I don’t know the history of the wheels

If that's factory finish, I'd be expecting for it to be sorted under warranty.

I don’t think this is factory finish, i was told they should be diamond cut, probably this was painted by the dealer who sold me the car

Those are not factory finish. I have those wheels (10 spokes). The factory finish is diamond cut on the outer face and painted on the inside. Since your wheels are already painted (and it just looks like paint loss rather than kerb damage) you could just have them repainted.

They look like they've been painted by someone who didn't really know what they were doing.
IMO you should take this opportunity to have them powder coated in the finish of your choosing. Plenty of choice, and more durable than paint.

Thanks that’s what i want to powder coating, just trying to find someone in London , as most of them want the wheels only,

Powder coating will look great, but conventional painting will be easier to fix at home should you curb the rims at some point...

How much is a basic refurb? Jut to get rid of a few chips and kerb marks

I ended going powder coating route, very happy and it looks really nice,

Spoke with http://alloyweldcraft.co.uk/

They say they can match OEM colour with multistage powder process that'll be much more resilient than a conventional spay coat, and can provide colour/paint for touch-up at home should it become necessary. £75+VAT/wheel

Could you please upload some pictures of your audi a3 alloys that had been powdered coated as I have the exact same wheels and wanted to know what colour would go well,
