I have managed to inquire at carmats4u as the do a rubber matt with a matt inlay which can be removed and are significantly cheaper and look better quality than those on the Audi assesories website...

Why would you want a bootliner to be anything other than rubber - I take mine out, shake it, hose it down, give it a wipe and back it goes as good as new...

I have managed to locate a rubber with carpet inlay so all it good. The inlay can be placed either in the rubber or underneath the rubber insert as required. I think its great to have this option..
