Hi Guys,

in the market for an S5, 5-door so looking at like a 10/60 plate. Just wondering what options worth having were available from new - and which of those could be retrofitted.
EG would want FBSW, which most don't seem to have - but are an easy upgrade.

Thanks in advance.

Sports diff, Damper Control

The rest you can add on but can get costly.

thanks for the reply. how can I tell if it has the sports diff??

One I'm viewing tomorrow has dash buttons for Comfort/Dynamic/Individual, which I'd assume is damper control?

I'm gunna be tuning anyway - so expecting to spend a few quid!! Saying that, it's probably only the flat bottom steering wheel I'll want to add, brakes etc are going to be upgraded anyway :)

Drive Select, interior light pack, supersport seats, sports diff (maybe).

Bold items are drive select, damper control was another option.

I believe that on the B8 ADS was only available with at least one of dynamic steering, damper control or sports diff also selected. You'd need to go into the MMI menu to find out which. However sports diff can be seen by inspection - there is the solenoid visible by looking under the car from the rear - also for the S5 sportback there is a "bulge" in the interior offside trim inside the luggage bay.

Don't forget the sat nav option as it is very handy as some do and don't. This can be retrofit but can be expensive.

Thanks for all the info guys. It’s genujnely helping!

Going to view one that has both drive select and damper control.

I’ve noticed it doesn’t have the MMI buttons below the gear lever. Some do and some have them above the HVAC controls. Is this just a difference between ones with centre console CD changers, or is there more to it than that?

Cheers again.

If the MMI buttons are by the gear lever it is a higher spec system. I personally wouldn't buy a car with the lower spec MMI.

Never noticed the bulge in my S5 before, do you know what's behind it?

What does drive select options offer?

I’ve seen some with these 3 buttons on centre console and some without
