Hi all , I've been to view a 2015 S3 sportback today , drove very nice and nice example but I forgot to notice if it had auto headlights and wipers . I kind of assumed on a car of this price it would be standard and it's fresh into the dealer so no advert to check . They got buyer lined up after me and I need to ring them by 10 in the morning.
All I know is its got adaptive cruise and black pack as options . Any info be great and thanks in advance

I thought it was still part of the comfort pack or something for the wipers at least. You can probably find the price list online if you Google around for a bit.

But they have a buyer lined up do they. That old chestnut :)

Lol, yes , a Seat dealer in group got a buyer aparently , but I get what your saying and I've heard that before too lol . Thanks for the reply

I'd expect it too but looking at listing online it doesn't come under standard equipment, I'm amazed if it doesn't as it's standard on Golf gti or R

No auto lights and wipers where a optional extra "Comfort Pack" if it has the dark sunband across the top of the windscreen, it has the comfort pack

I was amazed how little came as standard on the S3. Supprised it came with wheels and doors!

Just an Audi thing ain't it!? When I looked at the Golf GTD it had a much better spec than an S Line A3. Not sure if that's really a like to like comparison. Not sure about Golf R vs S3.. Imagine the same situation though.

Yea my Scirocco had a much better spec as standard tech wise.

If you're interested I have PDF copies of the three Specification and Price documents issued by Audi in 2015. There was one in May, one in August and one in October. This give details of all the standard gear and all the options. If you would like copies just send me a PM with your email address.

Audi have always sold their cars with few items as standard so that the new car customer can decide exactly what the want and are prepared to pay for on their car. If you look at the spec for an A3 in Germany it has even less than in the UK. It gives the customer the choice.

Very helpful...but Audi don't sell their cars with as few items as possible so the punter can choose exactly what they want......its so they can RIP OFF the punter as much as they can....with loads more so named items as possible, every MY model change in every Audi, basic spec always gets better but the basic RRP.....also increases to accommodate these items, the Face lift car has had 3 price increases since its launch....

But it does give the customer the choice. VW for example include some items on their Golf models which I would not want, where as Audi give the option to choose those items or not. The customer always pays for whatever is on the car whether it's standard fitting or an option. One of the reasons UK Audi come with more items that, for example a German A3, is because Audi UK make up the models to appeal to the company car market where they prefer all items to be included in the base price.

Very helpful info , thank you very much . Bought the car now , i wasn't sure at first and assumed it had gone but went back yesterday to take another look and it's in such good condition compared to anything else I've seen that we did the deal . Does have the auto lights and wipers by the way lol . No sat nav which is a bit of a downer , especially considering the switches are all there to select it but it guess a portable isn't expensive these days .

Maybe it just needs an SD card for the sat nav to work (SD card nav). It would go in the glove box. Not sure how much they cost though and if there is any other requirements!

Possibly , i mentioned it to dealer who said it can be activated but off top of his head was around £600 !
