Air con has started playing up.

I don't seem to be able change the temp, its stuck on warm, can get it hotter and cant get cold air.

All was working fine last time I used it in warm weather.

IS the a way to do a reset or get codes out of it?

If your anywhere near Birmingham I've ripped all the air con out of mine and it can be had for £40 (less than anywhere else), in terms of a reset it might need regassing or something along those lines just need to make sure it's all air tight, if you did want codes checking/resetting I have vag com as well.

Test the motor flaps.

Especially the temperature one, try setting it for Hi, wait 2 minutes, then Low, wait 2 minutes and repeat maybe 12 times, that might just clean up the the positional feedback potentiometer track enough for it to work for some time.
I had that problem with my old Passat B5, it got so bad that we had to pull off a long motorway journey a few times to let us and the car interior cool down, that finally convinced me to get round to fitting the new flap motto that lived in the boot.
Only one thing though, with a failed temperature flap motor, temperature was effectively set for max most of the time.

I can hear flaps moving when I change the temp and direction.
Can hear the air con compressor coming on when i press button tho.
Cant hear a click in engine bay when when ignition on and button pressed.

Not really near, 2 hours away depending on what side you are. Might be on option tho cheers

Am I right in thinking that of the gas is low there's a sensor that will stop the compressor kicking in?
Could be gas or even the sensor. Need VCDS :frown:

Checked the code and did a fiction test via a snap on solus today.
Only thing it come back with was the right temp flap motor, which I know about.
I send it for an air con service and see where that go's.

Air con service today. All nice a cold again.

Just need to sort the Drivers flap motor but no rush, I can live with it.
