So I’m struggling to activate MMI connect with my car and phone as it would be nice to see how many miles until empty, lock and unlock features ect.

Anyone else struggle with this? Usually I’m good at these things but I give up trying to get it to work now.

The MMI Connect app is going to be permanently scrapped by Audi over the next few months. You need to use the MyAudi app. However before you do this, first set up an account on www.audi.co.uk/myaudi and then download and link the MyAudi smartphone app to your account. You will need the VIN and 10 digit code which came with your keys to activate the full app features.

The app is working fine on my iphone (MY18 car), though the novelty wears off after a while.

I also had a issue when I deleted the app then tried to set it all up again. Sadly car makers with the exception of Tesla are not great when it comes to this sort of thing. As others have said Audi are working on things. Hold fire for a while. Hopefully when it is released we will see a much better app.

Gave up on mine. A lot of **** really. I am quite tempted to waste the dealers' time though. But knowing them they won't manage either.

My issue going through the process of my Audi app the verify by number email or dealership, why my number or email won’t verify it and I really can’t be bothered with going to my local dealership if I’m honest.

Would be nice to use it but like most apps they sound like they never work as they should.

Does myAudi app support internet radio? That's the main thing I use MMI Connect for.

It doesn't but i find the best way to listen to internet radio in my car is to use the smartphone's TuneIn (or similar) app. As I already have my phone connected via bluetooth for hands free calling, the audio travels over the same connection.

Good idea, you could also access that via Android Auto/Apple Carplay for more control of your music.

For a start what year is your build, pre SOS versions do not have these feature. I found it the easiest to setup...

Only issue i had was once i had created the account was getting logged into the car

The car had already pre populated my email address and when i entered my password it wouldn't work

The car put it all in capitals. So when i re entered the email address in lowercase it worked

Using Apple CarPlay you can access this app directly. The sound quality will be much better. Why do you prefer it this way round?

Yeah I know I could use the TuneIn app in CarPlay but that requires the use of a cable which I absolutely hate using - afaik CarPlay cannot be operated via Bluetooth. TBH I’m not really missing anything by not using CarPlay, the cars built in navigation and hands free calling are top notch and the audio quality via Bluetooth isn’t bad at all. I do keep a USB to lightning cable in the car, but only use it if i really have to (ie for charging my iphone).
