Apologies in advance if this is a stupid question.... but I’m a bit of a newbie!

I have the 8v se technik and I’m wondering if it’s possible to add “Audi drive select” by coding of some sort?

Thanks in advance

Yes. Can be activated via Carista / VCDS and the buttons retrofitted however, you'll be able to use only a few options and it won't include suspension adjustment.

Thanks for the reply Tashfeen! I have carista but I couldn’t find the option ? so I’m guessing I’ll have to go down the VCDS route? Do you know the rough costs. Thanks

Not sure about the costs tbh. @DJAlix , @Ash187 or @NHN are your best bet on this to answer. They are all forum sponsors and expert retro-fitters!

Audi Drive Select is a feature which VW Group now class as SWaP (software as a product) and as such is licenced. Although coding applications like VCDS can activate the MMI menu for ADS they cannot populate the options are they are governed by a process called parameterisation.

It is possible to have ADS retroactivated to an A3 8v but it depends on the factory specification and is completed via the purchase of a retrofit kit which includes the needed repair wires, button panel, feature code, activation code (licence) and pin code. Once the parts are fitted the codes are activated, and in fact can only be activated, via the official VW Group Service tool.

I can quote for the supply, fit and activation of ADS if you ok me your chassis number.

Hi sorry for the late reply, chassis number is WAUZZZ8V6FA135257

Thanks

What will drive select actually do on an SE technic?
Change the throttle pedal response curve a bit? Will the power steering weight be able to be modified by adding drive select to an SE.
Not worth bothering IMHO.
