Building an EA888.3 engine. Tips?

I'm assembling a new motor and my first time with vag engines. Anything that I should look out for and or that might be difficult? I have the manual, just wanted to get some info from anyone that has built an engine.

Maybe fit the port injection that we have in Europe to keep the inlet valves clean and great for adding extra fuel.
Will you be porting and polishing the head?
Is there any stroker kits in the US?

Thought about it, but can't find parts in time, can add later too. But slight p&p, and yes we have stroker kits, but installing slightly oversized pistons.

Will be replacing and getting the latest metal revision one instead of the plastic one i have now.

I think I seen some kits on ecs when I was looking up parts.
