Hi guys,

I'm new to the world of MMI and updating.

1. How old is my software?
2. Is there a changelog I can view?
3. How can I update both MMI and maps, does this cost?

1. About 4 years old
2. No (Audi never release this information)
3. illegal web downloads (could brick your system but free). Your local Audi dealer. Try business members on here.

It depends on from where you download it and which file. If you download a good the firmware there wont be any problems updating your MMI.

Although i advice that you skip Bose/B&O update file.

Which is what I'm taking about, it's an update and it can fail, regardless of the source. I've had failed modules over the years even using genuine disks. Also the map activation is a hack and the files are not generated by Audi. Also avoid anything that has the name "Kufatec map activation" that will brick your 5F module.

The reason why you have to skip Bose/B&O because you need to reparametrise your amp after update otherwise your sound will be messed up :)

Yes I know, but if you have access to VCP or ODIS this can be fixed after the update.

1. How old is my software? = 2014/2015
2. Is there a changelog I can view? = Audi do not publish change logs however as you have MMI3G+ there is a big change in P0700 (or one of the 700 range updates) which allows you to assign telephone and data functions to both a connected phone and a SIM card.
3. How can I update both MMI and maps, does this cost? feel free to drop me a message.

I’ve just got a dec 14 C7 3.0tdi 272

I’ve been trying to update the MMI and when I put a SIM card in with a data package I ran some updates etc.

I’ve loaded the 2017 maps onto an SD card but it wouldn’t read it.

Aside from that as per photo below have the maps updated themselves via 4G?

Thanks.

I’m still confused how the Ireland maps got to update to 2017 without the sd card

Have you done this yourself? How has your experience been?

I do it daily :)

If you don't have vcp or odis, then skip the Bose/B&O. If you at least have vcp, then you can reparametrise the amp.

Contact the dealership or look for someone who can update it for you.

There a a few business on the forum that may be able to help Audi Retriofits, JMB Retrofits, NHN & VAG Car Coding. Check the Site Sponsors and Banner Advertisers section.
