Facelift Maxton Desing for FL

What parts should i get?

  • Splitter and spolier LIp

  • Splitter, spoiler lip and sideskirt lip

Does anyone know if the Maxton design parts fit the FL? They have only got bits made for the PFL but I cant see it being too different.

For people that do have them fitted to their PFL, How are they fitted? Are they bolted on or glued/stuck on?

Im interested in the splitter and the Spoiler lip extension. Maybe the side skirts add ons too but im not sure yet.

As far as I am aware the spoiler is stick on and the splitter and side skirts screw on.
 
I don’t know if the bumper shape is different on the front of the Facelift? Obviously it’s a different bumper but shape I don’t know.. otherwise should be an easy install for that.

Side skirts are the same as far as I’m aware.

Diffuser will be the same in the centre. DONT do it! You have to cut holes in your diffuser to get it to fit, when I say holes the existing air blades have to be removed.

Side skirts look a bit silly. The poll needs an option for splitter only haha. Look at a Horsch Carbon splitter, expensive but looks better than sheet plastic.

Yeah I hate the diffuser one. The standard diffuser looks good enough.

One of my mates who is on youtube has them on his golf which has taken a battering on speed bumps. They look okay for the money but would have a carbon diffuser over these any day.

I fancy the spoiler...or we’ll the stick on one, looks good, but worried it will look cheap

I’ve seen it in person and the car I saw, damaged the splitter within a couple of weeks with H&R springs on.

The sill extensions look silly because they are just matt plastic and look really cheap for that.
 
I had Maxton parts on my previous car and they were all good quality... you can get 3 finishes on their parts, the tacky looking matte effect, a gloss finish (what I had and was good quality) and sometimes carbon too although I don’t no if this is a print or real, for the price I’m guessing not real

I've had maxton and it did the job, br careful though cause they break super easy, but that goes for any make really.

I agree, it puts too much on the front end I wouldn’t buy any but that one I suggested is a million miles better than the Maxton sheet plastic thing.

Yea the matte black looks awful AN, it just looks unfinished compared to the gloss option

Thanks mate! I really liking that, the gloss black matches nicely with the black pack!

Does anyone know... are the front bumper and side skirts the same on the Sportback and Saloon?
 
Gloss back does look much better in my opinion. Here is mine :)

Revo 19 wheels gloss black 245/35 all round. Not running any spacers.

Arm + Leg and possibly kidney ;)

We aim to make it more than reasonable.

Fitment is a sleeve over mid section and scoop under right and left side. In the process of finalizing all else.

I emailed Maxton Design about 3 weeks regarding which parts fit the FL, they replied today to confirm the side skirts will fit but as suspected the front splitter will not.

Did they say they are going to release a FL front? or nothing planned?

Sweet... I’m guessing the FL Saloon and FL Sportback have identical front bumpers?

Also, what do you charge for UK shipping?
 
@MethodEffects Almost $200 shipping to the UK... is there anything that can be done here to lower the price etc... that puts these right out of the reasonable price range

This is my cup of tea... yes yes, i know... its nothing for all. But i love it. And finaly custom blackout Matrix headlight will be included as well.

And future plan Stage 2 = Beast mode ON :-D
