I've searched the forum but can't find anything on how to actually remove the top part fo the mirror housing. Do they just un-clip?

What mirror caps are changing them to?
I like the idea of carbon ones, as I'm not sure the ali ones will standout much on my silver car.

Going to go Carbon as well I think Andy. The silver stands out on the black but I fancy taking it down a notch. Just trying to decide if thats the direction I want to go. It seems there is no bling on the car as I went for the BE and then you have these massive silver mirrors!

I have decided to try Carbon, theres a guy who makes them for the GolfR, great quality, ordered some up. I will let yo uknow how they look. Decen price as well.
Great, I'll be following this with interest to see what the quality and fit is like.
Sorry I will be keeping them to put the car back to stock when I sell it or fancy a change

I don't have a link, he is a guy that sells the Golf R ones on facebook, I contacted him as I know the golf ones are good quality and the prices are a lot less than everyone else. Asked if he could supply them for the S6 and he said yes. Got a tester set ordered up. If they are any good I will pass on his details to you all.
