Facelift car after bcs res delete

hey there all heres my car after i had the bcs res delete done its only a 10 second clip posted to my insta, ill eventually do a longer vid soon once again big thanks to @BCS Nige for sending the part out to quick i was just slow putting it on here, the car only had 900 odd miles when i put it on, now its done about 1800 so will update when its abit more worn in, no drone whatsoever and sounds perfect when you put your foot down or just cruising in sports

btw my wife was revving it as i was tryna get a good vid haha next time ill do the revving

Sounds good buy looking at the video your exahst valves are not open you need to cycle the drive select to sport on start up

Well if they are shut (not coded open or similar), makes sense to do the video with them shut in my opinion. As otherwise as soon as you pull away they will just close anyway.

I can control mine via a remote*, was going to make a video today of mine (PFL S3) but seems there was a bit of hiccup so the valves were opening and closing every second! I left location and it had fixed itself by the time I got home, might have to try tomorrow if I get a chance.

* only bought the remote because with the res delete on motorways the noise was a bit loud, having the valves shut just takes a way a bit of the bassy soun. But could easily live with them being open on the motorway, but not sure how passengers in the back would feel... especially when the turbo kicks in.

Got around to a quick video of the PFL with res delete, the first part of the video is with valves closed and then after the pause, valves open.
I was up a mountain road in the Lake District when filmed this so couldn't do a launch!

Fully agree with you here, I love the way our S3 sounds now with the res box delete...I didnt buy a fancy one as at stock power levels, even upto around 400-450hp, non-mandrel bent delete pipes are fine...

Fully agree with you too about the lack of drone...the car is still extremely sensible to drive but when it comes on boost, it sounds so much more throatier without being too much!

Can you get black tips to fit the stock exhaust does any one know?

With my experience of it, no, its not chavvy in the slightest...it just makes it more throaty with an awesome boofffff when upshifting rather than the DSG fart lol

I find aftermarket systems are just too much I find...especially for such a nice car...the res delete would be exactly how I would want an aftermarket exhaust to sound

For the PFL I get the DSG farts which can be pretty loud when upshifting but nothing on downshifts and very very very occasionally a type of crackle (but literally like it's happened twice).

I wouldn't say its chavy though, will still get heads turning though, especially when in sport transmission for the gearbox as it will be 1 gear lower than usual.

mines manual so no dsg farts here lol, does sound decent on them vids, even though they both do sound little different.

Was hoping to get some when I was with my mate few days ago but didn't get the chance ... maybe I can try do something at the weekend, my business park is pretty quiet so maybe I will leave a camera on the tripod rolling while I drive around in circles and trust no thugs will pop out of the bush and steal it.

Still need to do one going down street .... but got a going round in circles in a car park lol, the sound at like 1:06 does put a smile on face and can be so loud haha.

Me and my mate got round to doing a couple of drive bys... until security drove to my friend and asked what he was doing (filming).... maybe we were caught on CCTV haha. They said the road was private and asked us to leave, so we did.... I work down there though so waiting to see if security ever approach me again haha.
