Evening all, as the title says im looking for retrofits for my Avant, preferably oem/factory options, however small or large.
Retrofits so far:
-Front and rear oem parking sensors
-puddle lights and illuminated door handles
-centre front armrest( not yet fitted but on its way!)
- auto lights/wipers/coming home lights( in the pipeline already)

Possible future mods:
-RS4 rear anti roll bar
-Rnse and bluetooth

Is there anything else i could possibly fit or have i just about maxed out the spec sheets?
Cheers chaps

Auto-dimming rear view mirror?
Bi-xenon headlights with autoleveling and AFS?

RS4 body and engine conversation :icon thumright: you know you want to.

what spec is you avant now , there are a fair few retro bits but you may have a lot allready depending on your variant.

Id also forgotten about power folding mirrors too. Apparently with certain door control moduals, door switch and ofcourse power mirrors themselves its a job well done.

Its an s line special ed, but not alot was ticked off on the options list at the dealer by the looks of it.

Its also and 06 reg, so lacking the fancy bits like rs4 pedels etc the later models came with!

your is a mk1 special ed avant the same as mine, the mk2 had a revised black optic pack from the factory but neither came with rs4 pedal covers.
both versions are the same car , early special eds had silver head covers aswell but were later changed to black as they were a revised part.
mk1's had mutlispoke ronals and mk2's came with the rs4 style alloys etc.
spec does vary wildy though.

one really good retro mod is the adaptive headlamp setup, the headlamp move when cornering.....xenon lamps but part of the adaptive option kit, my old bus has it fitted from factory ,mine was also debaged from new ,that's was an option albeit free..lol

I stand corrected! From some resarch and a little knowledge of rhe brand, it seems everything is an option. The Pdf is a handy piece of info aswell. Much appreciated.

I suspect if one was to order a bog standard car from audi , all you'd get would be a chassis and bodywork just primed, no wheels or interior etc....just a shell..lol

That explains where my "a4" and "2.0 tfsi" bages are, i removed the rings on the tailgate when i machine polished thw whole car but plan on re-instating them. That look isnt for me im afraid!

there are several bodywork options that are available aswell , they were available in other locations but just not overhear, rear valances and side skirts are two straight away.

Im still looking into retrofitting the aux heater in the airbox. Ive got all the info for a tdi, but not sure our med9.1 ECU's would send the right signal to the relays.

Hi Alex. What are your alloys? They look class.

Cheers buddy! There the stock ones on the mk1 special edition, i believe there DTM alloys. There was a couple of sets on ebay but be prepared to get your wallet out!

they are 18" Ronals, fitted to Mk1 special edition and DTM , I had them on my old bus .

Mine's got a coolbox in there and it's a pain in the **** as anything you put in the glovebox gets caught in the hinge because there's no room :frown new:

A coolbox popped up on fleabay a last week, went for around £65 i believe, im not sure id use it much to be honest, then again if its there to use...

A few parts have come over the past couple of days to complete another retrofit, a genuine armrest, lower bracket and new clip. Might aswell get this slapped in at the weekend and hopefully get those parking sensors sorted.

Armrest was fitted yesterday, the template i found and posted wasnt the best when it came to actually using it so i apologise in advance. If you remove the rear ashtray and trim below that and feel beneath the console, theres an edge to use as a guide. Anyway managed to screenshot a hole from a youtube vid and basically went by eye. Best advise i can give is cut the hole intentionally small and make it bigger until it fits. Only took me two attempts before bolting it up, hense why in all the excitment i forgot to take more pics!

Evening chaps, not retrofit related but i ordered a roll of gloss black wrap for the chrome window trims on the Avant. It seems they are suffering from the commen fault of going milky, the door window weather strips more than anything. So wrap it is! Has anyone else done this and have any pics? Something has to be done as my ocd is flaring up!

Cheers and have a good weekend!

So i managed to cobble my cruise control in yesterday and made a nice job of trimming the lower cowling to accept cruise. Just need it coding once the auto lights/wipers are fitted.

Im more than glad to give any info needed. Tell me what you want. I can send you the Arduino Sketch, the wiring will be an *******.

Ive heard about Arduino, apparently it cancels out the use of the fold function on the mirror switch? Also the aux on symphony sounds good, if you have any info

I came across this problem and solved it with a relay. Now i have the folding function working once the car is on and autofold when the car is turned off. For the aux you need a Aux cable I ran it through the center console to under the arm rest. You need to strip one end and into the radio. To be honest i got this hack somewhere on this forum. Ill send you pics if you want.
