@rasA4 , Hey, fella, how are you doing? It's been years since we were both on the B5 forum. So you've finally found something to replace that lovely 2.4SE. The new one looks a cracker; hope you enjoy it. :)

Also, love the fact that you posted the thread and pic just after Midnight on the day you got the new car.

I’m ok thanks even better now. Yeah it’s been ages and finally I own a quattro

On my b5 I had a valet key wallet key and 2 remotes. As this is all keyless I have 2 keys How many keys do you get when you buy a new Audi?

i had a look in the boot, i take it that no first aid kit or the 1 litre oil included anymore? where are they normally located?

Check out the storage box in the rear seat folding armrest for the first aid kit. That’s where it is in my B8.

i had one in my b5, the car i have doesnt even have a lid i think its an option with rear cup holders

after 2 days of ownership things i don't like so much
1. storage is also lacking agreed the door pockets are a lot better, however i miss my little cubby hole on the right side
2. Don't like the idea of the open armrest.
3. i would have thought the apple car play would work without plugging the usb lightning cable (bit annoying as i left my phone in the armrest)
i believe if i had wireless charging phone the car would remind me to take my phone??

things i do love about the car
1. B&O system coupled with amazon music app through MMI!!
2. the way the car feels light on its feet so to speak but still very secure
3. the whole interior

You cannot have wireless apple carplay because only bmw have the sole licencing from apple to provide it. Which I believe you have to pay a subscription for anyway...

My first aid kit is beside the spare wheel under the boot floor.

Yeah don’t like the idea of that will have to see if I can obtain some kind of way to cover up the gap

Anyone know if my car has a timing belt or chain?

Looks gorgeous, especially in the colour. Congrats pal

I know this might seem strange but I wonder if this comes with the storage pack?

There is a reminder option for the phone, it’s in the mmi somewhere

Mine is MY18, and I did spec storage pack, but thought the first aid kit was standard...

Been a few days now
Things I would like to the car these I believe are easy mods on VCDS?
1. Needle sweep
2. Enable visual rear parking aid

Are there any other simple ‘hidden’ mods?

Things in the future
1. Add front parking sensors
2. Folding mirrors

Would also like Hill hold assist does this mean the whole centre console out jobby?

i can see on mine the option is there, however still dont get any kind of warning the phone is in the car. what i have is my iPhone connected via USB1 also tried USB2, turned off the car then opened the door while im still in the car no luck :(

Morning not sure if this is normal I can hear like a electrical clicks around the cat in the engine after I have just turned off the car.
Any ideas is this normal?

Yes very normal to hear systems gradually switching off, you may also hear the electric water pump running cooling down the turbo bearings after a fast drive.

I think it only works if you have the phone box and charging wirelessly?

Yes I thought so saw something last night on audiworld. Then I believe you can’t use Apple play as you need to plug in USB?

Might have to look at using SD however won’t be able to use amazon prime via amazon music app.
