What have you done to your 8V today?

Ah does it, could have sworn I saw someone say that price on here once.

Still a ****** lot of money for a grill lol the R32 grill I'm sure was metal and was around £600.

A brand new 3-0 litre Capri Ghia cost only £5300 back in 1984 kinda puts things like this in perspective eh !!

Oh yer, the prices of OEM parts is through the roof at the moment. The RS3 grill is not a very popular part so it’s never on a discount. VW Group also don’t really want people retrofitting parts that should not be on the car so try to “price people out”, perfect example is the Virtual Cockpit.... £900 factory option or, if you have MMI low, a £6 to £7k retrofit for a fully working system lol

2013 S3 8V Hatch dropped off for its annual oil service, check over, new Goodyear Asy 3s all round, 15mm spacers, sportline springs as well too! Cant wait, a we fluid reset, refresh, firmer ride and hopefully looking that bit more purposeful when done!
D

**** sake mate, no luck have you priced one yet ? I think they’re just clipped in so need to take the bumper off
£47 including postage from crewe audi parts on the forum, might ring lake district audi tomorrow just to ask them for a price out of interest.
chuffed with £47 considering you can barely even see it.....i know its there so its gotta be sorted.

£47 ain't that bad mate could have been more

Picked up my car from the garage after getting my AWE switchpath downpipe and exhaust (turbo back) installed.

It's pretty damn good. Hard to make a 4 cylinder sound much better without going overboard.

Installed the e85 analyzer!

Just had it's 3rd 'service' oil change - 26k miles in. Whilst it was there, Audi fixed the annoying wind noise from the drivers window. £182 for the service which wasn't too bad considering it's main dealer. They dd then proceed to tell me I need a new set of front and rear pads and a new set of front discs - for which they quoted (wait for it) £791.16 inc Vat... Err... nah thanks.

Had the pleasure of meeting up with @DJAlix again for a couple of tweaks...

Got my valves closed following my res delete a few weeks ago. The car sounds MUCH better now...still has a nice exhaust note but it has calmed things down inside the car which is exactly what I wanted...not so billowy and less vibration in the cab. Drone has drastically reduced as well. I would highly recommend this to anyone who has had their res deleted with valves open and aren't getting on with it.

Also had my throttle response changed from "time on the peddle" to "percentage pressed" (think that's right), which has eliminated a little lag.

Always a joy to chat and catch up on each others little projects. Many thanks again Alex!

You’ve built up the miles pretty quickly. Mine is now 17k so almost in need for 1st service and inspection, quoted around the £300 mark.

That seems quite low mileage for the disks and brakes, I know depends on how it’s driven but still.

Currently sat in Kwikfit with a flat tyre!!

Another addition on its way, may not be to everyone's taste. Obviously minus the RS3 badge.

I like the RS3 grill, like the quattro wording on it.

Do they not come with a hole for adaptive cruise control? or are people just buying them without this option

Yeah, had it 15 months, so... it's a daily, and my work is a 54 mile round trip. Will be moving work place soon though, so hopefully it should become more 'normal' soon and average out. I'm not very hard on the brakes tbh, but I do use the ACC a lot in town etc and I think that puts more pressure on them maybe? I can understand the pads need changing, I was very surprised that they said the front discs needed a change as well. Might have the front wheels off at the weekend and have a look for myself.

Bad times about the tyre, I've just had to replace one after an encounter with a pot hole. £182 later for a new PS4S = not happy.

Yeh definitely give them a once over. I was lucky and they could repair it. I’m on 17k, the kwikfit guy stated all 4 corners still had 4mm on which I was pretty surprised by.

1st launch since apr stage 1 still got the eventuri intake to install
Nice! You're brave launching it like that when down to reserve fuel, I'd be worried about fuel starvation.

took my S3 into audi and they have it for a week to try to fix the thermostat leak (if it is that) gave me a nice A7 black edition to hoon around in for the week. I quite like it but its not my S3.

Oh and treated myself to a set of new wheels and tyres, BBS CI Rs with Eagle F1 s, should have them thursday or friday which gives me the weekend to ceramic coat them before going on the car.
