I can recommend D. H Automotive in bonnybrigg Scotland if any boys up here want to have the Walnut clean.
The service from Dave was excellent and i even got a courtesy car , the price was good and the result was amazing as engine feels more responsive and my mpg is better . 5 Stars

Extract page 1. ( Works on petrols aswell apparently although the guy said it tends to be a more noticeable difference with diesels as they tend to have a bigger build up of carbon/soot because of the diesel.)
No, I'm in Oxford so I'm using their rep, but it's the same company. Like you say, loads of good reviews so I am looking forward to getting it done.

What price are they talking and where in north London?
Not definite yet but gathering info...could be tempted.
On a 2.0 TFSI A3. £99 for a single car. A discount was mentioned but amount not specified. Anything around £80 would be great I think.
I asked about two cars being done and was quoted £80 each. Unfortunately my mate dropped out but I managed to get a 10% discount anyway so not too bad.
I had mine done this morning, and I'm glad I did.
I don't know what fuel or oil has been put in the car prior to my ownership, so this was the best way for me to give it a good clean out and start fresh with premium fuel and decent oil in future services.
During the first 20 mins I was surprised how much dirt was coming out of the exhaust. It could easily have been mistaken for an old diesel engine from a distance. As the smoke started to clear up the exhaust note started to change. The revs picked up quicker and the growl in the back box was more pronounced. I'm genuinely amazed how much better it feels now when I'm driving it around, I don't need to drop a gear as often as more power seems available and pick up is improved.
Definitely something I would do again on this car when needed or any future cars.

S3 8P (2.0 TFSI), 56 plate, 103,000 miles.
Only got the car last weekend so not had it long, but want to make sure the engine is as well maintained as it can be so I can feel confident driving it around over the summer.
I had mine done Saturday in Weston-super-Mare, car is a facelift 2008 2.0 tfsi with 100k, purchased 7 mths ago, it's certainly improved, crisper acceleration, smoother and improved mpg through the 200miles ive done since. Worth the few bob paid, I can always get the injectors cleaned if needed at a later date.
What MPG do you normally get. I get 20-25 when driving in the city and 35-40 on motorways. 2005 2.0 TFSI on 75k.
I got 29mpg on brim to brim fill today, and I've been doing a lot of 3rd gear runs to the red line in order to get MAF readings after work carried out.
If I can get that MPG after driving it as hard as I have been, I think mid 30's should be easy on long runs.

You guys think it’s better than terra clean. The response from terraclean suggests they can do a injector clean too, see below. Question I asked was it is it safe for TFSI engines....

The inlet manifolds do get very bad on those engines, so we would recommend the direct injection clean before the terraclean process, to give it a thorough clean.

Then asked cost....
“Hi, the direct injection clean is £95, and the terraclean process is £130 for engines 2.0 and over.”
Also contacted a ecc guy, will post reply in bit.

According to this thread (http://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/terraclean-is-it-worth-getting-done.252732/) TerraClean is useless for TFSI engines. Carbon clean seems to be a better option with walnut blasting the best.

That's also what I heard too, but what's made me think again is the additional service of direct injection clean.
I doubt many people would have a before and after pic of the Carbon cleaning because if you were going to go to the effort of taking the engine apart for before pics, you'd probably just clean it while your there instead of assembling it to run a Carbon Clean and then take it apart again for more pics.
The idea is it is simple and cheap. Before and after pics make it far more difficult and less cost effective.

If you have a borescope you can use that to look down into the manifold using the OEM IAT opening. I have yet to receive my new borescope, but once received I'll try to get some pics before the carbon cleaning which I intend on having done as well!

Town driving maybe not changed too much, all depends upon how much I'm stuck in traffic so between 20-25mpg, my motorway mpg with 3 adults and a child as usual on a 50 mile journey to Bristol and back is now giving me 33-35 mpg dependent on my right foot, where before I struggled to get 32 at all. It's not much but it's an improvement, if I'm in the car on my own doing the same 50 mile trip I can get 36
I agree, I could honestly say my car picks up quicker on acceleration and is smoother across the rev range, for 80 quid it was a no brainer, yes I could do with proper walnut blasting done and injectors cleaned at some point but I also need to find money for a new timing chain and tensioner and full service so it will do for the moment
