Got an annoying chip on my windscreen, would a chip repair make this look any better? Doesnt look too bad in the photo but quite bad in the flesh. Its close to the base of the offside wiper.

Or is there anything else out there to help make it look a little better
 
Most car insurance includes windscreen repairs that don't affect your no claims. Maybe worth asking them to take a look?

Yes that was my thought, but windscreen repair companies are always going to say yes we can do it, sorry to be the eternal pessimist.

Could do with someone who has had it done and give me some feedback

I have had repairs done in the past. They do make an improvement but they are not totally invisible a bit like having an insect on the screen. It depends how fussy you are I guess. A repair will generally stop your windscreen cracking but if you decide to go for a repair I'd suggest doing it sooner rather than later to stop dirt getting in.

Not clear from the image, but it looks like more than one impact with a few cracks running from the middle of it all.

So windscreen couldn’t be repaired so an OE fitted by Autoglass, I have to say what a great job the fitter did. What a refreshing change to have someone do work on your car and alls good, well done Autoglass
