Diamond cut alloy wheel refurb

dont bother, just have them done silver.

Diamond cutting is a useless wheel finishing, it lasts about 5 minutes.

Agree with aragorn. They're fine for California, but in our weather and salt-laden road they deteriorate quickly. If you've set your sights on them, then The Wheel Specialist in Aberdeen do a fantastic job. It's a franchise, so suspect Derby is just the same.

Have just had my RS4 wheels refurbed by 'The Wheel Specialists' near Leeds.

Absolutely outstanding workmanship and all four for £333.00. Extremely happy with the job!!

Address: 4, Phoenix Court, Lotherton Way, Garforth, Leeds LS25 2GY

Only 7 minutes off the M1.

Hope this is of help.

I had a small ''curb'' repair done on my RS3 the other week at Redline specialist cars in Harrogate, they have the correct machine to do the repair & it looks just like it left the factory again.

I would imagine that the finish would be more durable if there was some sort of UV/Scuff resistant clear coat of some kind to protect the porous bare aluminum from corrosion. But then, I'm in SoCal where salt on the roads is not an issue when winter driving.

I use Spit & Polish in Tonbridge, Kent. I’ve been using them since 2001, brilliant job.

They refurbished a set of OEM 19” B7 RS4 wheels. I opted for diamond cut exterior, despite them being originally powder coated.

The cost? £260 inc. VAT, collection and delivery.

Do you know if Spit & Polish can work based on delivering the whole car as I don't have a spare set of rims?

I’m not sure if their compound has room. But, you can at least give them a call.

Failing that, just buy a cheap set of 16” Audi wheels from eBay - as cheap as £50.

I’ve dropped them an email, thanks. The wheels that need work are on the Merc GLA that I am returning before I get my Audi, so don’t want to spend money on throw away wheels. Good idea though.

Confirmed with S&P that they can manage to refurb my wheels delivered ‘attached to my car’. Quoted £89.64 inc. VAT per wheel for a full refurb of the below 19” rims in 2-3 days. Staying gloss black with diamond cut facing.

Glad they were able to sort your wheels out, they’re the best in the business.

How are thy holding up? I've got a set of 20's that im considering this finish on but wondering if coming into winter it's a bad idea!

I haven’t fitted them yet, they won’t fit the car until the B7 RS4 fenders and rear quarters are fitted.
