Yes manual, 45k on original clutch then 50 miles with the re-map and it started to slip, not badly but as it would need doing in the near future I just booked it in.So have you had to replace the clutch after your car was remapped? Is your car a manual?
I emailed Sachs performance my self and I'm sure they had said after 1000 kilometres you can start loading the clutch.
thats good to no mate i was thinking of emailing them until i seen that, even with it fitted apart of me is still gona be nervous to give it some when times comes pmsl
I think I started at around 850 miles and clutch is still fine and it's done 9000miles now.
I do have the paddle clutch but the principle is the same my friend. Yes it gets frustrating at times but once it's done you can give it some.
Loading the clutch is basically giving it some once the car is up to temperature etc.
Remember to do plenty of town driving to bed the clutch in as that is key to the process, just driving it on a motorway won't do it.
Sorry if I'm teaching you to suck eggs pal.
Yeah it's great, I just wanted a clutch that I new could take more power than stage 2.
@Starry, what spec of sachs did you go for? How many NM? Did you keep the DMF?
Do you drive a DSG? you sound almost as bad as the service advisor I delt with18K on a clutch. You must have a heavy right foot and an overactive left. I know there bad clutches, bit surely audi must expect more longevity from them.
I’m sure that’s why there only under warranty for 6250miles ....bit surely audi must expect more longevity from them.
No I'm in a manual with 22800 miles, touch wood no problem yetDo you drive a DSG? you sound almost as bad as the service advisor I delt with
