What have you done to your 8V today?

Following on from yesterday's Gyeon Q2M foam & wash, today was 2 coats of Autoglym super resin polish & 2 coats of Autoglym ultra high definition wax #AudiS3 #Autoglym #Glass #Armache

Your posts and photos would better received in the detailing section mate, ps your polishing the car by hand?

I had a set of these in red, soon went pink after one summer in the sun though. Took them off and now much prefer the dash without them. Nice and cheap for those wanting to experiment though.

If that starts to happen I will take them off.

Dropped it in for its oil change and to get the soundaktor vibration looked at, still haven't got it back yet but have this parked outside. It's a tad dirty but is being by used by a friend of mine who works at the dealership. Not sure how she's getting home if I don't get mine back today lol

UPDATE - new soundaktor being fitted tomorrow so will pick up the car then.

Only registered in January mate, looks like it's a bit swirly already - poor old car. It definitely doesn't hide the dirt well lol

Nice to drive? I know they are huge boxes but quite like the A6 Avant.

Prefer the Saloon shape myself...its a classic design.....Avant too long unless you bulk it oot with RS wheel arches....it adds a bit Squatness to it.....l see Audi has made a one of RS6 Saloon......maybe they'll introduce it as production model in the new one? to compete with AMG.....who right now are whiping Audi's ***.....big time.....from the medium sized class and upwards

Not bad tbh, S3 has a shorter ratio steering rack so it feels a bit strange around corners/roundabouts in comparison. Other than than, it's nice and smooth lacks power a touch although is fine for round town. Tech is a bit old now though after being out for so long! I'm a fan of the A6 in Avant form though.

Always found it odd that Audi no longer make saloon RS4 and RS6’s to compete with M3/5. Almost like it’s a gentleman’s agreement.

Although i suppose the RS3 saloon is now in place and RS5 has been for a while.

I’d love an M3, the saloon looks so much better than the 4 to me.

Yeah the saloon M3 has a shorter overhang at the rear ergo it looks so much better, but both cars drive the same with teeth shattering suspension lol

I've thought for a long time that some of the Audi 4's and 6's look better in Avant form than the Saloon.

A4 looks better in Avant form but to be honest l don't think Audi could have designed the A4 to look anymore bland if they tried

Well the vibration is still there even after a new sound actuator although I'm sure I can live with it.

Plus point is the oil change was 'only' £163.22

What did you use to clean them, mine are in desperate need of a clean after only 600 miles on the clock. Tried just giving them a wipe but not shifted the worst bits

I used Brasso when I owned my A3 saloon, which worked a treat, though I did have to clean them every couple of weeks.

Autosol works for me, but yeah .. needs to be done regularly!

I discovered a few more chips in the paint work on mine today and this scratch on the drivers door .. :( though it goes off the door onto the next panel.. no luck at removing it yet

Nothing special, just some stuff that was in garage lol. Hadn’t been done since last summer!

I hope you didn't use one of these metallic scourers, 'cos these will certainly scratch the tailpipes, and the soot will then attack the underneath surface causing corrosion!

I did it done the trick though.

Goes back to lease company at the end of the year, so not overly fussed really.

Haha, I've used very fine steel wool which I suppose is better than those kitchen things. They are corroded anyway as probably never cleaned up until I bought the car.. So what do I have to loose!
Look good from a distance at least ;)
