Connecting phone to aux port

Hi so just got an audi s3 08 can you connect your samsung s8 to the aux port?? Tried a 3.5mm jack to jack so far

It would help if you let us know which kind off headunit you have as i guess it will vary by type

Just the standard audi headunit.

If you have fitted an AUX port you need to enable it in VCDS.
If your just plugging your phone in you need to change the source to AUX on the head unit.
